Sound issues, possibly relevant to PD2
hey,

Sound suddenly doesn't work across windows, reguardless of what headphones I use. (USB, jack, bluetooth)

I'm only posting here b/c a few other people mentioned having audio problems yesterday, and I figure there'd be a quicker response time here than on some windows forum.

I ran troubleshooter to try to resolve the problem, but got this:

~~~~
Audio services not responding - Not fixed
Restart audio services
Both the Windows Audio and the Windows Audio End Point Builder services must be running for audio to work correctly. At least one of these services isn't responding.
Audio format not set to default - Not fixed
Set audio format to default
Changing the sampling rate and bit depth from default values can cause audio to stop working properly
~~~~

Seeing as how I haven't been tampering with anything, and windows hasn't updated, I'm not sure as to why this might be happening.

If it matters, I am using Razer Krakens for my usb and I also tested with some Shure se215 jack headphones.

2x EDIT:
All files are verified. This is windows-wide, so it's more likely a windows thing than a PD2 thing but I'm just making sure.

What Windows version you're using?

Are you able to hear sound after the error message?
Do you have an external or internal soundcard installed?
I would suggest you to check the services.

Run services.msc
Go to Windows Audio and the Windows Audio End Point Builder
Both should be started and set to automatic If either or both are stopped.
Highlight it, and click restart the service in upper left.
Restart PC

And I suggest you reset to default settings in your audio settings.
If the problem persists, try uninstalling your audio driver, and install new/updated one.
Or uninstall your current audio driver and use Windows generic driver.

Windows 10

No, no sound is audible whatsoever
I have an internal sound card.

Both services were running yesterday & both are running today.

I'll do the driver stuff now.

Try right click your sound icon than select the option with "devices that make sound" (idk english name), right click the device you use and go to properties than check levels, sometimes Windows bugs and configures all your devices wrong setting them to 0%
Also make sure the device you use is set as the device the computer should use by right clicking in the menu and than selecting "set as primary device"

I posted a similar comment on a windows help desk-like site, they said one of my registries could be borked.

I ran a few commands in the command prompt and that solved the problem.
