I'm not saying I can't play loud with a large amount of desync, but I am saying if I want an enjoyable experience I'd have to play with people locally. Of which there are MAYBE 3-4 heists in the middle distance category filter. There are simply not enough people playing this game in this region to play loud enjoyably with randoms. I also only have one friend who plays this game, and they're even less skilled than I am. This means if I want to go for DS OD achievements, it needs to be done solo or I need to get people to carry me while I lag into cloakers and die with 10 seconds left on my bleedout timer.
i would suggest exoerimenting with various weapons to see what works for you, instead of blindly following the meta
some suggestions are:
LMGs/ lions roar at 86 dmg can 2-bodyshot lights with BE aced, but lack stats
AR/LMG with suporessors- better stats, can 3-bodyshot lights(BEA)
shotguns
battle rifle(100 dmg AR) with 80% donus dmg can 1 bodyshot light swats with BEA
You're playing with AI? That's like adding more difficulty to an already difficult mode.
Though I do like one AI teammate because if gives bonuses to all the other 3 players. One AI teammate is better than a bad teammate. Just a single one though, 2 AI's would actually be a hinder.
Should you quit cause you failed with the some of the most meta stuff? I don't think so, but it's certainly an option. DSOD takes a long time to get used to and an even longer time to get good at, so I don't think there's any shame in quitting now and sticking to other difficulties you're more comfortable with.
However, if you're looking to improve and maybe even enjoy the challenge then I do have some suggestions for you. I'm by no means an expert at DSOD but these tips have worked for me in improving my skill at the game.
There's a plethora of information I haven't covered, such as skills or weapons but since this is already long I'll leave it at some of the most general suggestions I can give to hopefully help you improve.
also, if you want 0 downs, stoic is still far superior. The reason leech is 'OP' is because it gives you the most of the revenant tree for free, not for its survivability.
The root thing to remember is that DSOD is badly balanced to the point of absurdity. Normal combat engagement with enemies does not work, particularly since most enemies lack accuracy or damage falloff. You should rely on whatever tools or exploits are available to let you avoid that sort of gameplay, such as armor gating, heavy Joker use, or items like flashbangs that flatly reduce enemy accuracy.
