does payday take place before the infection of left 4 dead? there is many easter eggs/connections to each other such as the infected person in mercy hospital and even mercy hospital itself and the witch in the mercy hospital backrooms

the no mercy heist imply's the payday gang started the infection and also bill from left 4 dead goes in the same elevator with them as well so ye maybe. i think payday 2 is in the same universe as dead by daylight too

In Payday: The Heist, No Mercy was non-canon and it was implied that the gang stealing the virus caused the Left 4 Dead outbreak.

Payday 2 has No Mercy play a critical role in the plot, but L4D does not happen. Both Payday games feature toys/action figures of L4D infected in some maps.

I guess that's a long-winded way of saying sort of, but not really.
