Game size
Is there any way to reduce size of the game? It takes about 70 GBs and its too much for a game that was released 7 years ago.

The game was released 7 years ago and had 7 years of updates. 7 years of updates take up a lot of space. And the answer you are searching for is: No.

lmao what? GTA V came out a month after PAYDAY 2 did and they're roughly the same size.

lol, ''its too much for a game released 7 years ago''.

How about you upgrade your 7 year old hardware.

Aren't HDD's really cheap nowadays?

GTA V is 7 years old with 7 Years of content added into the game (98GB)
Payday 2 is 7 years old with 7 years of content added into the game (70GB)
Both Devs release new content and that takes up space.

Thank you for your kind responses. I meant wether or not you can delete some parts of the game like you can do to other games, which seems not possible.

the likelihood is when it gets to 100 gb or so they'll release a optimisation patch that'll go down to 50. some people are saying the game received 7 years of updates forgetting it got abandoned for a year or so and the only reason its still getting updates is because overkill flew to close to the sun and nearly went bust. Then they fell back on their free dlcs thing they did for like 6 months before temporarily abandoning the game.

Correction, Starbreeze did, not OVERKILL.

Why does the date it was released tell you if it was too much or too little space? The game has had content additions and updates right into this year so the release date doesn't even mean anything.

Also doesn't anyone remember FMV games and how big they got in their time? It's all down to the amount of content and type of content.

You may select which DLCs to install. However, this will limit you to available weapons and heists.
But if you are that short on storage, install 1-2 heists at a time, complete and untick them afterwards, then install others. One by one. ¯_(ツ)_¯

The only thing one can get rid of is the soundtrack, as far as I can tell. The game consists of all the content, whether base or DLC, and the DLCs just unlock it.
