but as 1st responder said, y tho
That seems to be the general consensus. A friend of mine went to 11 and went from 350 fps on Valorant down to a consistent 75-90.
If I wanted to be a guinea pig, I would've just done it already, but I'm not NEARLY tech savvy enough for that, so I was hoping to get some more insightful replies, but here we are. Oh well, guess Ill be waiting for someone else to bite that bullet lmao.
But from a technical standpoint: Payday uses DX9 (or 10, cant really remember) which was released over a decade ago.
As the optimization for general hardware is made through the driver (most of the time), you will get the most performance due to good drivers. And said drivers are the same for both versions (win10, win11). Therefor they will perform similarly "good". But now you have to concider:
As stated before, win11 is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of ♥♥♥♥ when it comes to bloatware and unnecessary stuff running in the background. AND as the DirectX version is extremely old, you may even get less compatibility with some core features in general, which will result in unpredictable performance problems.
So. My educated guess will be: You will loose a lot of performance, especially when you (as you already said you are) are no tech-kinda-person are, as you will probably not know how to revoke some of windows' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in regards of "efficiency improvements".
