AP or Normal sentry rounds?
I use my sentries for long range defense most of the time; which is better, AP or Normal rounds?

AP! Just because It can kill shield's faster and uses less ammo

AP is obviously better. The choice of whether you should spend your precious skill points on it is another matter.
ap all day

AP and never let go of it.

Thank goodness others feel the same. I always select AP because normal rounds are spent way too fast and they can't shoot through shields, thus it's mostly wasting ammo.

I feel like if the turret AI could just comprehend shields and dead bodies, then the normal fire would be better than AP.

AP sentry round is currently bugged. It doesn't do 250% damage per round. It deals the same amount of damage per round, yet fires at 1/4 rates. This means that it has 1/4 dps compared to normal sentry. Because of recent cop health buff, AP sentries hardly kill anyone during the entire heist.

I would say that sentries are simply not an option these days, either ones. Normal sentries are useless against shields, which spawns much more now than before Housewarming. AP sentries do no damage. Jokers are straight better choice.

That actually isn't a bug, it's a feature to promote normal sentries.

In-game description says that it does 250% damage per bullets, yet has 1/4 fire rates. So either description is wrong, or the performance is bugged. Either way, it needs fix. And either way, doesn't change the fact that jokers are straight better than sentries now.

Then why tf are APs locked to a skill if they don't actually do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?

Don't ask me, it would be cool if we had shotgun sentries though.

Because it's 'supposed' to be useful. If it actually deals 250% damage per rounds, it means minimal dps loss with less bullets spent. But no, it's not doing how description says it should do, and it's useless in current condition.

Apparently it was intentional because of how powerful AP was.

Now, they are useless on anything above OVK.

However, do not quote me on it.

To sum up, intentional or unintentional, AP rounds' performance doesn't match the description and requires fix. And it's useless on anything above OVK in current condition. Hope this clears things up.
