Broken ENTER key
I've lost my metal thingy that is below the ENTER key and it basically doesn't work anymore. I'm using the other one, right next to numlock keys but apparently this one doesn't work in most games, and one of them is Payday so I can't talk via chat even tho I really want to. Is there any way to fix that? I've tried to download some re-bind apps but they don't seem to work.

How could you lose that when it's on the underside of the key. The key should still work without the metal piece.

The thing is I was cleaning my keyboard up and I lost this metal piece. Without it the button is permanently "pressed" but doesn't activate anything upon pressing, it doesn't move at all.
If you have a second hand store by you see if they have a keyboard cheap and buy it and take the metal spring off it.

You can replace those parts as suggested as they are pretty generic. You still have the key cap apparently so it should be an easy job to do. If your keyboard uses the same mechanism under other keys you can cannibalise it from a key you never use. Especially easy with a full keyboard as you're bound to have some extras unless you do a lot of coding, but all the people I know who do a lot of coding end up with piles of keyboards anyway. :KentHappy:

Have a look at some search engine results on keyboards and how the keys go on and off. There's a lot of video or text and picture guides. Is it a laptop or a desktop keyboard? If you find out how to lift a keycap safely you can carefully dismantle an unused key that you will never use and that can be a donor. I'd suggest getting the spare part though, you can get it from suitable dead keyboards or order a spare online from ebay or various suitable outlets.

The springs and levers are pretty easy to replace. The only time it gets tricky is if you've mashed the parts soldered onto the PCB as then you need someone competent with a soldering iron and possibly harder to get and more expensive spares or more work to bodge it. You won't know until you try!

if that also fails you can bind your other enter key to chat in the settings menu
