is the vulcan minigun any good?

a completely new player here as well as you see that i have 0 hours in this game, i bought the dlc since it was on sale and because big gun go brrr, but still, is it good for a new player like me?

Its pretty direct on its use, shower enemy with bullets, not very accurate, very slow to reload but very high dps at the right range aiming chest high to get as much headshot as possible. Might take a while to get used to it

Well yes, you can make it really good. You can get the minigun up to a concealement as high as eleven which makes it usable for critical hit build. Because critical hits are per bullet and you spray 3000 bullets per minute, I think you already realise you can do a ♥♥♥♥ ton of dps with the right skills. And it’s fun so go for it, you don’t need to have good weapons to have fun, it’s a game, don’t listen to sweaty meta-players

it is in fact really good with some skills, it is situational because there are not that much loud missions and getting it for the stealth can work, but why would you bring a minigun in a stealth mission? it just raises your detection way up and that means if you are infront of a guard you are absolutely fked. but in loud mission i usually wear the heavy armor, granade launcher as my secondary and primary minigun and some skills of ammo efficiency , damage and you basically become a weaker dozer, my favorite set btw.

Low DR isn't only for stealth, you can fit out the Vulcan for a dodge / crit build and wreck ♥♥♥♥

That’s what I use it for. A miningun with crits is practically juat a lawnmower at that point, it is so much fun

i mainly use it to joke around is a heavy tf2 loadout

If you want to, you can pack Lock and load aced, Body Expertise aced and Low Blow aced (maybe Unseen strike just to fully turn it into a lawnmower like people here just mentioned) and watch as everything just dies, just make sure you have a very concealed secondary.

Oh, and Miniguns are not affected by Damage range multiplier bs, so you have consistent damage output, and 3000 rounds of fun per minute

Take an accurate SMG for Snipers and your Minigun will shred everything in the hallways and small rooms.

Don’t forget the crits eighter. A minigun with crits is nothing to scoff at
