Recovering an old PD2 save?

Recently downloaded Payday 2 again and all my old progress is gone. I managed to find an old save on my old laptop, but it doesn't seem to be loading up properly. The guide to recover your old payday data seems to be gone too... Does anyone have some advice? About 100~ hrs of work into the save. Not too bad, but not thrilled either.

tl;dr place the save098.sav file in both:
a) Steam/userdata/<Your account #>/218620/remote
b) AppData/Local/PAYDAY 2/saves
