On a serious note: what are your feelings and experiences with the buffed AR's in this week's patch? :2:

I can experience it tomorrow due to studying hard as irl comes first, but from the looks if it, it seems to be the beefy LMG AR hybrid as Overkill was going for.

needs lower dmg, basically the same dmg as the ksp but can aim and has easier stability.
Honestly I kinda feel like it's not really actually addressing any of the issues, just stat creep...

I tried it. Never trying it again

Haven't tried the buff yet, but I played it recently prior to the update, and I'd say that damage buff is a great change.

The Bootleg was pretty okay before as long as you brought crits and maybe Berserker, but turning it into a medium damage rifle was a cool idea. Its slower rate of fire makes it suitable for the medium damage category. For the other ARs, it seems as if most of them were moved up a single damage breakpoint, possibly saving one shot or so on common enemies. It really doesn't seem to impact much in the end, but a buff is a buff, I guess. Same could be said about the nerfs(?) for the shotguns. I really don't think it changes much in the end. You'll probably be less likely to hit headshots when spraying and praying, and you possibly won't be able to hit as many enemies with just one shotgun blast. But it doesn't seem to change anything when I tried it.

Way too strong, I used it on DS without crits or berserker and was mowing down everything and the moment it was buffed with overkill made killing effortless.

The only drawback it has was the ammo, was easy to run out of it.

Holding down M1 a bit long during the kill shots are we. You hit 1HK on light commons with Overkill, and it has pretty good ammo return, so really I can see it running out of ammo if it gets treated like an LMG/Grimm, but under controlled short bursts it should be fine ammo-wise.

Granted it's not the best in class for ammo sustainability (The Gecko is... but there are few just as good).

I didn't have any ammo problems when using it. Hell, after the assault rifle ammo economy buff, the only rifles I had ammo troubles with were the higher damage ones. That's only because I suck at aiming. Maybe you should pack crits with the Bootleg. It saves a couple of shots on enemies and saves quite a few shots on Bulldozers.

Without any other damage skill aid is hard to maintain the ammo without dying in the process, as heavy zeals needed around 10+ body shots to die and they were tanking 4 headshots, that was making me burn through a lot of ammo.

I know If I slapped crits on it the ammo return wouldn't have been an issue but if just overkill was enough to make it way more than good that says enough and with you on the higher damage ones, I know people have said the lion's was so overpowered but I honestly don't see it, sure the buff is way too good for a weapon with such high ammo pickup but still can't get a 100-100 stability and accuracy and the reloads even with all skills that speed them are rather slow.

I was half and half holding down LMB and bursts, wasn't using overkill as much since I wanted to see how good it did without any skills.
