if you want my pick, dont bother with Close By aced. might as well use the 8/13 bullets and make the most out of it. You'll often use your primary for specials anyways.

Speaking of Specials; How do I dea l with Bulldozers? So far I've been dealing... Little to no damage to them with my fire bullets.

You don't wanna stack fire weapons. You have one weapon using fire rounds and you have one that shoots normal rounds. If by all means you want to stack it, bring javelins.

Don't use fire damage. Fire damage won't use headshot multipliers, and that's what you need to bring down Bulldozers. Shotguns are a bit janky against them too, due to how shotgun hit detection works against the Bulldozer's faceplate and visor. Either bring an explosive (HE round Judge is the most common pick for this) to blow off their faceplate and visor before shooting them with your shotgun, or bring a high firerate (and probably high damaging as well) weapon, such as an SMG or one of the high damage pistols.

Or an LMG, or a minigun, basically something that pumps out DPS in a quick fashion.

That said, fire weapons are only good at killing regular cops.

Along with Dragon's Breath take either Akimbo Pistols or Akimbo SMGs + Crits (I recommend taking Low Blow ACED, so that you can modify customize the build way more flexibly, thanks to the 23 detection risk limit). If you want even more firepower then take Overkill ACED as well (it does trigger it) and as long as you have the bonus you will melt bulldozers even faster. As far as pistols and SMGs are CONCERNED when paired with DB, you want the ones with the highest damage ONES such as Parabellums, Broomsticks with Precision Barrel, Krinkovs and CR805B.

Anything with a faster fire rate is also nice, like the Akiimbo variant of the Micro Uzi.

A DB round can technically crit on each tick, meaning they can do upwards of 2500 dmg vs Dozers, 1500 dmg vs Tazers/Medics, and 4500 dmg vs Cloakers. With the exception of the Bulldozers this near OHK on all specials. All on DS difficulty.

I generally kill Tazer/Medics within two shots of DB rounds.

I mean I'm constantly saying that DB rounds are in the top 3 most broken/OP things in PD2 (The other two is SwanSong and Critical Hits).

Not true, I find that DB is balanced because you cannot put silencers on the weapons. Since it's limited to shotguns, this means that only shotguns can get it. Aside from the raven, grimm, and locomotive - your ability to lower the concealment is somewhat limited.

... Silcencer/Suppressors are only really effective if you're doing stealth (at which point the type of weapon is immaterial, and the damage value). The effect they have no aggro control (priority reduction through not being heard) is negligible, and outclassed by just moving further away.

And while, they might not Overpowered without Crits on Deathwish & DeathSentence, they're definitely overpowered on Mayhem and below. It's a AoE 3sec Stun that can do 500 damage, and pierces armor and shields. In addition to its raycast damage. And it's a 100% trigger unlike any of the other fire DoTs. Oh and the DoT isn't subject to the damage falloff that the raycast is.

The only downside to them is that they can't score the headshot critical, and have a maximum range (meaning long range snipers might be too far). So they don't have the DPS of LMGs or Akimbo-Crit Machines... considering it's impossible to diminish the spawn pool at DW/DS how fast you kill only matters to Bulldozers. And those are easily dispatched with Javelins or a Secondary utility weapon (Hell, I've killed non-special Dozers with just Bloodthirst stacks and the Buzzer).

I get that they're pretty much boring to use (who has time to wait 3secs). But on DW and DS they pretty much outclass every other weapon. Because DPS isn't everything... in fact it's mostly a trap.

Yes, but the difference can be as good as being able to use an auto shotgun with 4 concealment or 11 concealment total.
