Blue Swat (or NPC compact 5) are amazing.
i cant help bu notice, whenever you have blue swats show up in higher difficulties (commisar room for example) on overkill and death wish (cant remember what the light death sentance cops have) they do alot of work compared to NPC Car 4, playing with 4 players, blue swats got 20 kills each, while the elite unit and heavy swat of another players got 3 and 7 kills, can we have a balance to streamline the weapon damage better for jokers? the blue swat compact 5 are almost as good as shotgunners, and that is a big diffrance when compared to all the other cops.

Unless you play on DS, any cop is better then the standart ones with rifles.

40 hp cop with bronco/shotgun?
Gonna 10+ kills unless it gets swarmed
Same with guards with pistol.
fbi cop with pistol?
Enjoy your 20+ kills joker.
Heavy with shotgun?
30+ kills usually.

Elite with rifle?
5-10 kills most of the time.

Who would win?

A standard beat cop armed with a paper thin shirt, 40 HP, and a Bronco revolver with infinite ammo and twinkly blue eyes,

OR

A heavily armoured and plated heavy Zeal soldier LARPing as a sniper with spooky scary black and grey combat gear, 960 HP (or something), and a PSG-1 sniper rifle loaded with .69 Cal bullets?

It might surprise you.

I miss the 50+ kills Bronco cops from before the AI update that made the police a lot more responsive to threats and no longer stupid enough to just stand there looking at you through a wall while your Jokers lined up headshots, etc.

Yeah though I have noticed that usually the scripted spawned cops like tans, blue SWAT, beat cops etc usually out perform the current heists rank and file. The Bronco cop is obvious, they headshot like a monster with a weapon that hits like a truck, but for the others...I guess it's just weirdness at work.

If they're anything like their regular AI with no changes, I know the Bronco cops are MDFK's when it comes to aimbot pixel point harassment all to well from that one evil guy who stands outside the Big Bank sniping you in the crane with his Bronco from so far away he's like a pinprick. If they can do that to other AI's when Jokered, then it's no surprise they're super powerful lol.

They're like, custom made cops for that heist since they're not the usual mass produced swill that pours in from every direction, thus they are mega elite and superior. That's my theory.

its really just the weapon damage scale and rate of fire for the compact 5 NPC veriant, im sure you can use mods or custom maps and spawn them, it could be why the FBI rescue team were removed? one of them use compact 5 and maybe they just dident want to balance or mess with it past normal.

That's a good point actually. I always assumed they removed the FBI HRT because hilariously and ironically enough, they'd rush in to save civilians and free dominated cops all alone and thus just end up becoming the next bunch of hostages for the Payday crew lol.

Though you might be right, they may have recognised the true power behind the Compact 5 and the AI spraying accurately instead of firing in bursts etc, so they just nuked them out of existance instead.

Which is a shame really because I always thought they were pretty cool, both in mechanics and style.

TBF i remember them trying to stay out of sight almost like cloakers, but yea umm, i think if you were to give all cops compact 5 the difficulty would be alot harder, im not sure what the UMP/Jackal urban swat preformance is like, though i dont remember seeing them lately, but could be as stupidly powerfull, or balanced.

So which Jokers are actually the best damage wise?
Standard/Heavy with AR? Shotgun? Blues with MPs? The Glock ones? Broncos? Murkies with Scar or UMP?

well, normally shotguns, if you can find out who hold compact 5 they are also good, i turned off weapon balance and put compact 5 on all AI, and used a mod that bring the HRT units, the masked light FBI guy with compact 5 had close amount of kills to team AI, while the FBI with CAR-4 with a shirt had 5 kills, wich about the same with any CAR-4 jokers, i did used better bots and they got around 40-50 kills each on bank hiest with compact 5, while the HRT compact 5 guy got 35 kills, althought better bots have easier time to navigate and fire on the move, and dont get stunlocked like jokers.

so short answer is, you want shotgunners if you see any, or compact 5 if they spawn at higher difficulties (blue swats sometime have shotguns as well)

(should note weapon balance was from bots weapons and equipment wich apply to team AI wich make all thier weapons useable, turning it off give thier weapons the AI damage scale and some weapons dont really work without it like some secondary weapons)

Remember HRT? They like to shoot you instead of saving hostages

done a bit more testing, like nray said, on anything other then death sentance, compact 5, shotgun, are better then CAR-4, on death sentance, the AI CAR-4 have better accurecy and damage, the light officers on DS have compact 5, and the CAR-4 got more kills on DS.

How do they fare on high level Crimesprees? The damage cops get and their health get ramped up which is effected by your associated Joker skills, although I'd imagine it's probably diminishing returns because of bloated enemy health as well?

Worth checking out, assuming you can find any Compact 5 dudes who live long enough in Crimesprees anyway.

in higher diffs, the blue SWATs and normal cops become glass cannons. They do nuke levels of damage but die in onw or two shots...to the body.... The worst one is the black cop with the shotgun and overcoat. That guy will murderize you from 80 yards in ICTV in two shots....
