Yes, it doesn't work with any type of heavy armours tho, just limited to suit and LBV.

If you are going to use Grinder, no sense in acing Iron Man since you can't use the heavy armour it gives you. The perk only works with lightweight vest.

There are more difficulties than DW or DS.

Getting ironman on them is pointless yes, since not even damage reduction skills help or if you were to have ironman + diehard + quickfix + underdog or bot armour boost, as enemies do high damage and you don't exactly get a benefit of tanking extra damage with ironman they do 60x2(DW) and 225x2(DS) damage, just diehard should be enough to tank 2 armour shots for DW.

But on overkill or mayhem where majority of the enemies does between 40x2 and 50x2, having ironman + diehard as well as damage reduction skills would turn their damage into 20x2 and 30x2, with 90 armour that's pretty good if you ask me, especially since a bot boost increases armour for an extra 30 points.

I'm not sure I understand how your post is a response to mine. My understanding is that the grinder perk only works with the suit or lightweight vest. The only benefit to Iron Man aced (as far as I can remember) is that you get the ICTV. If you wear the ICTV while using Grinder, the whole perk deck doesn't work, and you have wasted a perk deck slot.

I didn't say anything about the value of Iron man itself on any difficulty so I'm not sure I am understanding your post correctly...?

Was mostly first part only sine is not entirely pointless to have basic, rest was for OP but Ironman aced still makes the perk work as long as you don't wear the ICTV as I said on my first post, huge waste of points for a perk that only works for suit and LBV but the perk works still if you don't equip the ICTV and have the skill aced since basic gives some armour.

Glad we cleared that up, as my point in my first post is that Iron man aced is useful with Grinder, which is what they asked about.

Long story short, my recommendation to OP is don't bother with Iron man aced if you are using Grinder, since you can't use the ICTV which is the whole purpose of acing that skill. Iron man basic is still useful (depending on other things of course, like your build in general).

Simple answer: No.

Alternative: Don't ace iron man with Grinder, as acing said skill only and only allows you to use the ICTV, which does not work with grinder. But keeping it on the basic gives you the armor boost, and will work with grinder as long as you have one of the two armors available for the perk deck, which are the two piece suit and the lightweight ballistic vest. ^^

No use to go for armor, the thing you will rely the most when it comes to armor is bullseye basic, that's 5 armor that can block anything ranging from 5 damage to a million damage. Much better to stack up on converts health+regen and if you want you can go for the 15% dodge base (always something). You should always make your builds around the highest difficulty, if it works on DS then it will work on everything else!
