No tangebale in game benefits, but its does add a few conveneince things and of course bling. It woudl be nice if it added the relevant AI's to your safe house raid mission too.

Upgrading the living room places a medic bag during safehouse raids. Everything else is bad-looking cosmetics, boring minigames, or completey useless.

Was a feature promised with base game at start and didnt measure up to peoples inflated imaginations so they nagged and nagged, b*tched whined and complaind, so ...here we are with a upgradable safehouse.
At least it came with safehouse raid making it playable.

To sit around in a nice house. I mean what else is the point of a safe house from a user point of view? Look at Hox Revenge, the Rat's Safehouse is just a small villa.

Various ways of "gambling" to launder your money from Offshore to Spending (I think?)
A time-trial minigame
A hockey minigame
A shooting range to test weapon damage
A punching bag to test melee damage.
