Crowbar? Can it be eaten?

Okay now i was doing the shadow raid thingy and somtimes i find a crow bar on some spots and i think i need it to open the crates in the red containeres but i dont know how to eqiup it.
Id like it if someone told me cuase when i search off the internet all i find are the location of the crowbar and no video on how to use it, does it open the wooden crates that every red container usually has ?

You can open long yellow crates if you have one in your equipment (if you pick it up). You don't have to "equip" it - you just go to the crate and if it's the right one there's keybind popup for opening, like a regular "interaction" thingy (unlocking doors, picking up stuff, etc).

You don't need to equip it. Once you get it you can open crates.

No, it opens the crates in the Buildings. There is only 1 lootable crate outside, in the Container that can get dropped off by the heli inbetween minute 5 and 6.

To open a crate just stand in Front of it. You dont need to equip it once collected.

The heli always spawns inbetween minute 5 and 6 and will drop either a crate or 3-5 guards to patrol the building. You can see the heli when it spawns to see what it will drop.

Protip: you can manipulate the heli so that it will always drop a crate. You need to stay at a specific spot on the heli pad. YouTube is your friend there ;)

Or just do the map normally, I've actually been able to steal the armor from the vault even with the helicopter dropping off additional guards which made me extremely happy because I've been aiming to steal that ever since I saw it was on that map.

The only issue with the additional guards is that no matter what, once you open the vault the map will eventually go loud.

The mechanics of that map are coded so guards alert to seeing the open vault, so with reinforcements you are on a timer as soon as you want to loot the armor, this makes things difficult if you are solo.

Not if you're playing carefully and the guards become alert when they see the cages opened as well, that's why its always recommended to get all outside possible loot before even making an attempt on the cages and vault for Shadow Raid.

Without using bug exploits or mods, the guards will always eventually see the vault. The moment you open the vault, you are on a timer when the next RNG roll for guard pathing tells them toward the inner warehouse.

I know it’s possible, but I’m saying this is an issue with playing solo, you need to move 4 bags fast as soon as that vault opens, being careful has nothing to do with it.

There is like several spawn locations for the crowbar as well, some are guaranteed spawns too. The easy way is just to play a normal difficulty SR and look around for them.

Some spawns are exclusive guaranteed on Deathwish and above too. For example the crowbar just outside the security room 100% spawns on DW and above, it’s only an RNG chance on Overkill and below.
