From what I heard, it's fine as long as it's not used to cheat achievements or in public lobbies. So friends or solo, basically.

“I will shoot at him” said the cyberdemon and he fired the rocket missiles. John plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
“No! I must kill the demons” he shouted
The radio said “No, John. You are the demons”
And then John was a zombie.

Goonmod in the past required a lot of effort and games to use many of its features. This is why we allowed it. SA can simply be used to cheat stealth games.
