How do I remove a CHEATER TAG from my name (I have no cheats)
I was playing meltdown with my friend and he said that I had gotten a cheater tag on my name for having too many assets or something like that. I have never installed any mod for payday 2 because I am too afraid of this stuff happening and I have never hacked. I have played with people who were hacking but I tend to kick them out because I want to play legit. How do I remove this tag and why did i get it in the first place?

(Edit) I had my friend share screens so I could be sure they where telling the truth

The cheater tag is gone once the next map loads, or if you rejoin.

CHEATER tags are caused by equipping Skins/Weapons/Masks which you didn't get in a legit way. Having said that, only you could tell which item caused the tag. By removing one item each time, and see which one is the problem.

Once that item is removed from your character, the tag will disappear.

You own the Desert Camo an City Camo skins. Did you use a skin unlocker to equip something else?

Game bugs out sometime and flags people as cheaters even though they did nothing wrong. I recently had a friend of mine get autokicked midgame for "picking up too many bags" even though there was only one bag on the map they tried to pick up. Frustrating but it can happen.

Or using DLC you own.
Or for having high desync and certain host-client issues.
