Ok. Thats how I understood your first post.
But. It does not work that way. When you are close to a guard and look straight at a guard - then you can press F to mark that guard. Only him, noone else ;-)
Also, remember to use the profile system: that way you can jump between your stealth build and different loud builds quickly without having to reselect everything, even between different days of a heist.
Edit: It'll even change your equipped Perk deck and mask, which you normally can't do after you're in the contract. That's very useful.
