Best equipment for new players?

Loud: Use ammo efficient weapons and bring med bag.

Stealth: ECM and Body Bag (with jack of all trades, you can have both), which one is primary depends on if the heist needs a lot of civilian killing (or guard killing that don't have pager)

Also you can you C4 in stealth. After placing them you can interact with them so that instead of exploding, they *beep* and mark a guard for you. The guard will be highlighted in red, and you'll be able to see them anywhere on the map for as long as the highlight lasts. There are skills to give you more C4, and also make your highlighting last longer, though I don't remember if the longer highlighting applies to your C4.

If you can't manage your health I suggest first aid kits, but in the long run Health Regen + Doc Bags are better. Ammo bags is a prefrence, do your guns have horrid ammo efficiency?

If you can cope with low ammo AMR-16 you can build into somewhat stealthy weapon that still can handle itself when things go not as planned. For more general loud approach, I'd vote for AK/AK.762 with their clear, not intrusive ironsights. Also check what other players bring, no need for 4x Medic Bags on supposedly stealthy mission.

C4 is a nice utility. It can blast open some doors, so you can skip drilling, picking, or sawing. With the right skill it can also open some safes, so you can skip drilling them. It's great for the Armored Transport heists, as you can open the trucks very fast, and get the loot out quickly.
