Uppers Aced not working properly?
Is there something wrong with the Uppers Aced skill? It hasn't been working correctly for me for a few weeks now. Just did a heist today with a couple of friends, my FAKs w/ Uppers Aced weren't reviving anyone, but one of my friends FAKs would revive anyone except me. I guess it's possible it could be one of my mods, but I don't have any that directly effect skills that I'm aware of. If anyone has some idea of what's going on, it would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Mods that I am currently using:

Bag Contour
Better Bots
PD2Stats
Project PHOENIX (dialogue mod)
WolfHUD

There's a cooldown each time you use it, that's one. The second thing: your friends could be running it too and when you're both nearby, they simply "steal" the FAK and you don't even notice. So basically, you're shooting around and the FAK is just not there anymore, therefore you get downed.

But that's just it. I tested it by dropping a FAK at my feet and then getting downed for my first time in the heist. There's was only my FAK near me, it wasn't on cooldown, I'm not even using Swan Song, and yet it still didn't pick me up.

First of all, UPPERS DOES NOT REVIVE ANYONE it works as insta heal if any of player's HP reached 0 with 20 second cooldown. You can easily test it if you place FAK near you and throw molotov underneath you, you will not fall, your lives will not be reduced, instead FAK will be used.

Second of all, Uppers does not work with Swan Song if you are using it, during Swan Song you are not considered "healthy" or "alive" you are "undead" and if you try to use Medic Bag or FAK it will say "You Are Not Long For This World!"

Third of all, Uppers require you to be within a 5 meter radius of the FAK, which means very very close. 0.1 meter more and it will not work, duh.

Just tested it on 4 different heists, 2 stealth and 2 loud, it works just fine on me and my friend, you either doing something wrong, or you have some sort of mod that blocks the effect.

Also assume mods before bugs on something like this, remember all the people that were asking why they couldn't even launch the game after the update was more often than not related to SuperBLT being broken.

Yeah, I know. HoxHUD practically burned that into my brain. Was mostly curious if anyone else was having an issue with it.

Also, I just remembered I was having a similar issue when placing fully upgraded ECMs. For some reason, I can't use the ECM feedback, despite having the whole Ghost tree aced. Friend could activate it on my ECMs, but I could never do it. I have no clue what's going on anymore.

I would be surprised that HUD even works because I'm certain like all the other HUDs it shows how many pagers you have left, something that was added to the game same with the number of Jokers on the vanilla HUD.

I don't think HoxHUD has been working for years. Wasn't a very good one to begin with. I just remember the storm of threads every update that were caused by that hud breaking everything.
It's a not a revive. It's an down preventative. You'll only notice it activate if you're watching your health. If you've gone down, then it means you're either too far away from the FAK, or on cooldown.

Project PHOENIX (dialogue mod) is the issue here. It overrides a method in the PlayerDamage class which overkill put the uppers aced code into.

Project PHOENIX stopped being developed in about 2015, so I highly recommend avoiding it as there is a high likely hood of other similar bugs occurring.

Project PHOENIX is extremely outdated, and is definitely the cause of your issue.
The mod is written such that it overwrites certain code functions to allow its voice-line events to be called.
IIRC, when it was written, this Uppers Aced ability did not exist, so the version of that function in Project PHOENIX is based on an older version of the game. (PHOENIX was discontinued 5 years ago, so I hear.)
I believe that the mod Deadlocke is meant to succeed Project: PHOENIX, so I recommend uninstalling PHOENIX and installing Deadlocke instead if you want a replacement.

This is why I never really get into modding a game unless I know for a fact that no content is gonna be added, take TF2 for example there's mods that just make the animations look a lot nicer to the eye but if the game gets updated guess what ends up breaking (granted not the game but breaking regardless) and you have to wait until the creator updates the animations which since in TF2's case would be from external sites meaning the update would be in a separate file all together, this is why I enjoy the workshop a lot more than those because if a mod needs to be updated it can be done really quickly with the same submission and won't require an additional file to be posted to the workshop.

Wow. I honestly never would've suspected Phoenix. Guess I know which mod to can, then.

EDIT: You wouldn't happen to have a link for Deadlocke, would you? When I tried to get to modworkshop[dot]net, it just gave me an error instead.

Fun timing of course, currently the site is down. No estimate as to it's re-availability as of yet.
