How to play new royale mode??
Is it upcoming DLC for payday 2, is it a different F2P game??

They spent probably about 10+ man hours to make a "funny" April Fool's joke instead of actually giving you real content

No, at least not if you've been following starbreeze financial reports. It's been expected for a while now. And i'm not talking about the current circumstances, pd2 was scheduled to drop content support one way or the other.
