Silent assassin noobs avalanche

I have returned to this game after some time and i am disgusted. 3/4 of the hosts are noobs using silent assassin (and the rest cheaters). I am using mods too, but, come on, silent assassin? Its heavily breaking game mechanics and turning stealth into a joke. Whats wrong with you guys? You can use achievement unlocker, its much faster than silent assassin and the result will be the same.

Am i just unlucky or this game turned into noobs lair?

People don't like stealth, there is no real anti-cheat, and you can always HYOG. To the people that use SA, there are virtually no downsides for them. Your best option is to always HYOG and kick them.
Stealth already is a joke.

it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sad. 99% of people who join my crimespree have silent assassin. i usually just ban them instantly but sometimes i will let them play then kick them at the escape just for fun

How can you tell what mods a host is using? Do you play the game on noob difficulty?

Pretty much what I'm seeing as well, game's rife with cheaters.
Looking purely at my entry/ban log from my (heavily modified) cheater kicker, 62% of people that have joined my lobby since I installed it has been caught cheating in one way or another.

I have more than 2k hours in this game, but never face such a number of SA guys. Some players looks like legit and than bang bang and no pager. Of course, HYOG is a solution, but sometimes i am using just quickplay, which is flooded with SA...

This, and there are mods that detect (non-hidden) BLT cheats, like Cheater Kicker.
NGBTO also has some anti-cheat functions built in.

It's certainly gotten very popular, at least from what i've noticed lately, i often make my stealth lobbies public once i'm done, for the sake of moving bags faster and what-not, and a lot of joining players will ask if i'm using SA, maybe either because they prefer lobbies that run it, or because after using it so much they are incapable of imagining someone doing a basic stealth mission alone without SA, but yeah, as long as you just HYOG you should be fine, sucks, but since there's no anti-cheat, no way around it other than keeping a banlist and kicking out cheap players.

Stealth with randoms is 99% of time a disaster. A few days ago i tried to host a public stealth game, the first 4 people that joined had pirate perfection, i banned them right away. After that more people joined but noone even knew how to play stealth (lbv, snipers, 20+ detection...) so i just quit the lobby in the end. I prefer to play stealth alone or with friends, playing with randoms is like shooting yourself in the foot. I dont even think that 5% of current pd2 community knows how to play stealth properly.

You would only get like the dumbest a small part of them as anyone can bypass those mods in 2 seconds.

Just HYOG, discussing it won't do anything, yes there are users using it reading the forum, likely more than you think yet posts like this won't convince them, anymore at least, only people that just got it might reconsider

I kinda wish the part of SA that makes stealth harder would be made into a separate mod for those that want some challenge. I imagine its frustrating for like the .2% of SA users that use the mod for the added difficulty.

People use various cheats to make their non-existing peepee look bigger. There is no anticheat, people are not punished. Yes, stealth becomes a joke with SA because it removes pagers. I guess Carry Stacker is kinda the same deal but it kinda makes sense. SA is still not as bad as PP or any mod that grants access to paid content, DLC. Because the game has no anticheat.

The game's stealth is so easy I don't understand why anyone would use it.
