Cheat?
Saw a very few players using it, it's called Unhittable Armour.
It does this: Replaces the regular Two-Piece Suit dodge value to an exceedingly high value.
What is your look on it?

Yea that sounds like a big cheat. Depending on the value, you could get dodge chance 100% which means you will never be hit.

in my opinion, anything unrealistic is cheaty-ish but you have to take into consideration of the rules stated by the devs that anyone can use whatever mods they want, youre not forced to stay and youre always free to leave if youre not feeling like the host is serving your cup of tea.

it kind of gives off the vibes of somoene sitting down by somene elses dinner table and begin to judge him for having peanuts or oranges in the kitchen because youre allergic, things like cheaty mods has to be really critical to the point of someone being close to immortal or invisible to actually really be invasive/judge someone elses list of complementary sets of mods that might actually look less bad than it really is depending on which configuration and other mods is in use together.

judging without nuance of all information available from the host and some constructive discussions as to what actual settings hes using or not is what you need to look at.

just like the old mod a while back which allowed players to hold more than 2-3 bags on their back might actually be realistic depending on the person if you would look at it from a standpoint of immersion/realism and the vanilla base games poor ai/waypathing, why wouldnt it be fair ?

but then it becomes a completely different question if the user is both using a mod that allows the user to hold a lot of bags and using a set of complementary mods that enhances those base game flaws for even improved ai/waypathing, it becomes a completely different question and even more that factors into something being "cheaty"

its still however a matter of "my house my rules" in this game.

Which is exactly the reason overkill added the mod list. So people don't have to join lobbies with mods they don't like.
But anything that gives you a big straight up advantage is obviously a cheat. As i said, it sounds like this "unhittable armour" mod is one of those.

thats just about as close to godmode as it gets, you might not want to join him but its still up to the host what he wants to use.

its pretty bad but hes not exactly hurting anyone, its not a competitive game and most seasoned veteran payday players probably dont play this game vanilla which makes most peoples progress smell a bit differently from person to person.

Aye, it's up to the host what he wants to use but he'll most likely get very few players joining if they see him using cheats.
I for one will be updating my anticheat mods to include this unhittable armour thing so no one can join me with it.
B〄F Altonator Feb 12, 2020 @ 12:38pm
Oh ye and that's another thing. Those types of mods can actually hurt people if they join others game with it.
You see i have anticheat mods, but others might not. Then this guy joins with whatever cheats he may have and ruins it for the whole lobby.

I've played crime spree and in that case host wasn't one with that mod/cheat but some other random player. I was in doubt should I stay or not, because I don't know is that mod working on client side when hosting or both hosting and playing as a non-host.

I would have asked host to kick him maybe. If a host looks fishy i simply won't join him, but when that fishy host comes to other games then it becomes a problem.

Its the hosts fault for making a public lobby.

Its the hosts fault for not either kicking the cheater or making it a private lobby.
I worded it better this time

Perhaps they don't know. You won't actually know what mods someone has unless you check their list.
Some cheats are obvious but some are not.

Some cheats are obvious but some are not.
So basically, a cheat could have a normal name like "Better AI" but is actually a cheat?

I'm talking in the terms of when it is active.
Some cheats could open all doors on the map, that is very obvious. But by the time you kick them for doing that it's already too late and the game is ruined.
But some cheats a subtle like god mode. You have to pay attention to if the player is taking heavy damage but losing no health.
Historically from what I can remember from these forums, the only mods that Overkill considers as cheats are DLC unlockers, Character blockers, and seriously game-breaking mods.

And like forums everywhere... discussing cheating mods is not allowed. I guess we can discuss what we consider a cheat, but we shouldn't name or list mods.
