Have anyone ever enjoyed using AS-Val?

The stats of it are pretty weird, the 20-bullets mag for a 40 damage weapon is also pretty strange concept. Yeah, it has 200 ammo pool and pretty good pickup, but idk. It isnt exactly great for dodge-crits builds, because Union rifle (FN2000, i think it's name) and Clarion (FAMAS), those two guns do the same that AS-val does but better, first one because of different magazines, speedpulls and quad-stacks, the other one is just shoots faster and have a bigger magazine. The first one is probably better also because it doesnt require any DLC's to obtain it.
Imho, AS-Val needs damage buff and ammo pool reduction, such as it is its a bullet hose with extremly small magazine. And yes, i know that there is that skill for 15+ bullets in the mag, but it just again does the other two weapons even better.
Also not to bring "oh its so unrealistic, the payday logic!" but in real life it uses the
9×39 мм ammo, pretty punchy type, analog of which is a more notorious 300 AAC Blackout, so its kind of another half-of-a-reason to boost this gun damage.

I don't like the reload time, damage, and magazine size.

Barely use it. Only exception to this is if I'm using it in Stealth.

It's for stealth. With the right skills it can be used for loud, but I would recommend anything but this for loud. Still, its pretty good for stealth with a high concealment pistol you can get 3 Detectionrisk.

I have like 30 mods that do touch gameplay and weapon modifications, but i dont realy like such big mods that i cant tweak and dont feel like a cheater.

I could never find a reason for the Valkyria. It can get your primary concealment up to 32 with optical illusions if you need it for some reason, but the 20 round clip and slow reload are too horrible.

Expected this. I was rather referring to the various changes to it when ovk couldn't decide whether to let it work on dozers or not, so when it did. And it was 100% of dmg. Now, no thx, but pretty much no thx the game, too bored, trying out graze atm. Should probably try mod overhauls.

Im fine with all changes they made to it, it doesnt hurt this skill too much to loose 10% of bodyshot damage and need to headshot the bulldozers.

it used to be good when it first came out.
it could reach 50 damage when most ARs at that time could only get around 40 and had a far better pickup than the other ARs like the SCAR-H and golden AK that could get 50 damage.
you could also easily get the accuracy to beyond laser and the recoil to nill.

now however its only strengths are its concelament and high ROF (which is still lower than the clarion).
the small magazine size is also not helped by the slow reload.

i dont see why they dont add 1 more magazine worth of ammo to the total pool with the AS Val and amcar to bring them up to 240 which would be in line with other light ARs.

IRL i think there is a 30 round magazine you can get for the AS Val as well as a 10 round one.
they wont do it, but adding these could help if they effected magazine size and conclemant repectivly.
alternativly just redo the reload animation to make it faster.


but personaly, my biggest issue with the AS Val (or VSS Vintorez as i had it setup) was the overly tall ight bracket which made it look horrible with anything but iron sights.
