Why would you get unseen strike aced?
So if I understand unseen strike makes it so if you don't take any damage for four seconds you gain a chance to critical strike, but if you take damage this effect is cancelled, with the aced version extending how long the critical damage thing lasts from 6 seconds to 18 seconds, but wouldn't you just continously have that critical strike bonus?

Unless they changed it again, this is how it works:

If, within that 4 second window you take damage, the timer resets and you have to not get hit for 4 seconds again.

If, after 4 seconds you have not been hit, you are given 6 seconds of crits that stay with you until the 6 seconds are up, regardless of if you get hit during that window.

After the 6 seconds are up, your crits disappear and you must get hit again before the 4 second window will restart.

The aced version just changes the 6 seconds to 18 seconds.

The reason to take aced over basic is to lower downtime waiting for crits.

That makes more sense and was my initial hunch but someone told me it didn't work that way.

Again, they might have changed it again, but uh, last i tested it was 3 months ago with a 75 det build (LMG) and that's how it worked for me, so if you want to try it yourself feel free.

I believe it still cancels the effect if you get hit, which is why there is a mod that fixes it to actually make sense for the aced version to exist (gets rid of the effect canceling on hit)

They fixed the effect getting canceled on hit. The aced version is very useful.

Pretty sure getting hit still cancels it.

It was updated around 165. Getting hit doesn't cancel anymore.

Confirmed with my HUD as I always Ace Unseen Strike with Low Blow in my high-damage special-killer sniper builds.

  • 1) Getting hit triggers the skill's 4 second timer
  • 2) If hit, timer resets. If not hit, crit chance increases by 35% for basic/aced duration
  • 3) Crit buff is not lost once gained
  • 4) After crit buff duration expires, player must get hit again to restart this process

Hope this helps clarify for you!
The Silent Killer tree is pretty awesome and so is 65% crit chance for 18 seconds.

getting hit still cancels it, it blows, but for a while it was the most broken op passive.

Check your facts.

People who are saying it still cancels the buff early if you get hit. Are you actually using HUDs to confirm this? Because what I am seeing in-game with a fully updated PocoHUD disagrees.

wow they did fix it lol, its been "patched" like 6 times.

They need to update the description wording
Shirosakura Feb 10, 2018 @ 3:39am
WolfHUD also displays that the buff does not disappear when you are hit so they did patch the problem out already.
