How to allow my mouse cursor to leave the game window?
I generally play games while listening to music or podcasts/YouTube videos at the same time, and often this requires me to be able to hop over to a second window while the game is still open. The problem I'm having is that while the game is playing, I seem unable to remove my mouse cursor from the game window. I can't find anything in the options that would allow me to fix this, but I may be missing something. Is there some option that would allow me to remove my mouse cursor from the game window while the game is still open or am I cursed to forever have my mouse cursor locked in the game window while playing?

I haven't used it myself, but you might find some good results with that one app, "Borderless Gaming" or whatnot. I'm not sure. I've heard it's free from their website, but costs money on Steam. Up to you if you look into it and where you get it from.

You realize that is made so you do not leave the window all the time by just moving your mouse around.
Trust me, it will frustrate the hell out of you constantly losing control over your mouse.

Just alttab out of the game.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. This *is* a first person game, isn't it? That means that while in a match, the cursor is already going to be locked in the middle of the window, so there's no way for it to exit the window while playing and cause problems.

I'm not really fond of having to install third party programs just to be able to play a game that should have an option like this already.

Ayup, neither am I, but I always see a considerable amount of my friends on Steam playing "Borderless Gaming" so it's probably decent and not too intrusive, but I dunno.

Like Jostabeere said, you can't have Payday maximised and move the mouse off the window because that would be a nightmare for aiming and shooting, your actual mouse pointer is hidden and does weird things in relationship to the in game mouse pointer, so you might end up thinking your mouse is in game and then click, only to find the game suddenly minimising because you've clicked your desktop or something.

The best thing to do if you like browsing the net or listening to podcasts etc, is to just buy yourself a laptop and keep it next to you. It's what the "pros" do I guess. Laptop for chatting, watching videos, browsing the internet, listening to music, using voice chat with your friends, with the main PC for gaming and/or whatever. Even with a dual screen set up, you'll still have to "deactivate" Payday while you switch over to the other window, then the "reactivate" Payday by clicking onto the screen etc...which is exactly the same as tabbing out anyway, like Jostabeere said.

Lol, complain complain complain.
Yes, borderless should be an option, but right now there's only workaround solution. Don't do it? Really funny as Borderless Gaming take less space than you take time to typing the complain.

Well. I didn't expect it doing it in PD. The majority, if not all FPS games I played moved the mouse freely in the games window. Like Skyrim for example.

While leaving window isn't an issue because PD actually does leave the mouse in a position, this raises another issue.
The mouse does not move. So it will be impossible for you to get it out of the games window.
If you get it to move around, you will have the first issue. So you have an issue in any way.

The only way to get what you desire is a multiple monitor setup and programs that make transitions between them possible if I'm not wrong.

Also Borderless Gamin on steam is a scam. It is free on their website.

Not necessarily. If in the middle of a match, one could hit escape to bring up a cursor in game then minimize the window that way.

Alright, I guess I'll just have to deal with it then.

if you're ready to press Esc in the middle of a match, why don't you just alttab in the middle of the match?
