Dumb question to ask, but is max infamy worth it?

I am recently getting back into Payday 2 and the last I played, I was infamy level 6. I only heard some people say if they see a max infamy player that they were a hacker or cheater. Is this true? Otherwise, I don't know if its worth going to max infamy since I havent caught up in a lot of the recent updates for the game.

If you like the masks that infamy provides, then sure.

Other than that, not really. You could say bragging rights, but players in this game don't really care much about max infamy players and sometimes even see them as cheaters. Even for me, I'm at infamy level 21 and I'm not really in the mood to rank up any more.

Stop one short. Once you hit the max the amount of insta kicks can get a bit nuts if you don't always host. Each infamy gets easier so it's not ae bad as it seems. The first 5 are the worst.

I hadn't played this game in like a year so reset when I came back. Nobody insta kicks me anymore.

Edit: Noobs kick. Decent players usually have a clue.

The only real benefits max infamy provides is optional, exclusive masks and exp bonuses. Also, you will be kicked from 99% of pub lobbies, because, apparently, every 25-100 is a cheater.

See, thats why I am debating on maxing my infamy level. Cause the fact that half the time I play with friends, then when I feel like Payday 2, no ones on and I rely on pubs. It sucks

Occasionally, there will be times in which a player had legitimately reached the highest infamy and reputation level, despite having done it all in under a few days via abusing Crime Spree.

Maybe you should just stay at the current infamy level you're at, VI?

It's fun as a personal challenge and goal to aim for. Getting all the masks and then eventually the last few levels is satisfying if you have that interest.

Also how being a higher level infamy means that people expect more from you, which is good and bad
