Also if it's already corrupted then gg, it's gone. Check the cloud for a backup and pray because the cloud will overwrite the local.
...well.. If the cloud has been corrupted and you have no backup, it's gg. You need a clean save reboot period.
If you kept a clean backup, you can overwrite the cloud easily by overwriting the corrupted local save and booting the game and saving, and quitting which will update the cloud save.
Then you can put a local save on a USB stick as a backup plan B. And simply boot the game on your new computer. If your cloud save is good, you should load the cloud save in, and that will put into the directory of the new PC and thus will be localized. (which you immediately backup).
Boot your clean localized save on your old PC, do something so it saves (you see the floppy ingame, buy a gun or something).
Then exit, it will save and sync to the cloud.
Now take a USB, plug it in, go to where your local save is, or take your backup. Put it on the USB.
Go to new PC, install and boot PD2. It should boot with the clean cloud save, and you are done. If not, then go through the introduction and get into the main menu, and quit.
Grab your USB, and get your backup off it. And overwrite the n00bie local save that will be in the local directory. It SHOULD overwrite. Note: MAY SURE YOU HAVE YOUR MODS INSTALLED FIRST before booting your save if you got them with your old boot save,
OR remove ALL MODS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING (As in: remove them BEFORE moving your save from your old PC). That is what usually causes corruption.
