Do you keep when you go infamy?
So I am level 100 I want to do infamy, but I am not sure If I should buy a lot of Thanatos Sniper Rifles, then go Infamy and sell then, do you keep the inventory? Or is it like if you cleared your progress totally? What else do you keep?
Thanks fellow gamers :lunar2019piginablanket:

There are level restriction on some weaps, i think by thanatos its 65. U can't buy, sell or modify weaps when ur below the requirerments.
Besides, U loose ur cash not ur offshore. That pretty much covers it.

The game tells you what you lose.
Money and levels up until V.

You can sell and modify weapons if you aren't high enough level though.

I did this using piglet grenade launchers the first few times I went infamous. Honestly though it's not really worth the time or mouse button wear. If you sell 2 pages of weapons you get back what you would if you just played a decent paying heist, but no xp.

edit - one thing I would recommend before going infamous is doing a small crime spree (to around level 100 or something) and then suspend it, go infamous, then claim rewards from crime spree. That will boost you to around level 60 immediately.

When you go infamous, you lose all your spending cash and skills but keep your perk decks, weapons, and mask. So yes, it actually is a pretty good idea to fill your inventory with as many high cost weapons as possible before going infamous, if you run out of inventory space then spend the money to buy more spaces to fill them also, this helps you save a good portion of your spending cash between infamies by selling the expensive weapons just after you go infamous, and it has the side bonus of getting you plenty of unlocked inventory space. (Note, this only applies until infamy V, after that you keep your spending cash when you go infamous so there is no point in filling your inventory with expensive weapons anymore)

Another infamy tip is when you are a high level, you may want to not view your perk deck screen until you go infamous, the number of perk points you get is based on how much experience you get, but the lower your level the more perk points per point of experience you get, and this applies not to when you get the experience but when it is converted to perk points, so going infamous and having that experience converted into perk points at level 1 will get you many more points than doing so at level 100.

If you really want to max your perk decks sooner than later, you can decide to only convert your experience into perk points by viewing the perk deck screen at level 1, or other very low levels, saving all the perk points you get until the point where you will get most of them, you can max perk decks a lot sooner this way, though at the beginning you may want to unlock at least 1 stealth and 1 loud deck all the way. It is worth noting that you can still change your perk decks without viewing the perk deck screen by having your cursor hover over the perk deck box in the inventory screen and then you can scroll through them with your mouse wheel without viewing the perk deck screen.

I have to disagree with that first part, normally at an early infamy when going from 0-100 before or after going infamous money will be a large problem if you experiment with different weapons and weapon modifications, by doing that before each infamy I had no problems with money after the first one, maybe two infamies. Also, I tested it and if you buy a piglet grenade launcher for $920,000 (which is what it costs) you can sell it for $230,000 which is 25% of it's cost. So assuming this percentage is constant for different weapons, then you can save 25% of all your money between infamies. You aren't going to earn 25% of what you get doing enough heists to get from level 0-100 by doing a single heist and it doesn't actually take all that long to do the buying and selling, besides that it has the side bonus of providing you with plenty of inventory space to fill with your stuff.

Just look for the most expensive weapons you can find and buy those, some possibilities are the piglet grenade launcher Hatch mentioned, thanatos sniper rifles, etc.
