If you really like the game and want to heist on the go, I guess. Plus there might be/probably is some exclusive stuff you can get in the Switch version.

Well there is going to be a exclusive character...

for a short time before they release her on PC
Do you want to play on the go (without the hassle of using a laptop, of course)?

Are you okay with having no type of save data transfer from/to your PC copy, which means you have zero way to transfer progress?

Is playing with a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard alright with you?

If your answer to all the above three is yes, then yeah, it's probably a decent purchase if you already have the PC version. Personally the idea of having to start all over is a dealbreaker for me, but meh.

Payday 2 on Switch is going to run you $50 USD and will either launch with all content up to Sangres or all content up to the Ultimate Edition launch (I'm not holding my breath for it, but there is a slim chance the Aldstone packs and h3h3 DLC will be included, which would be a nice bonus if that's the case but again, don't expect it on launch day) as well as Joy and her Hacker deck, which will be exclusive to the Switch for some undetermined amount of time. To me, the portability of the Switch is a double edged sword, as where games like Doom and Mario Odyssey have copious checkpoints and autosaves, Payday 2 expects you to complete a whole heist in one sitting, which isn't feasible if you're on the CTA or are going to visit family on holiday, the game has a decent number of 15-20 minute heists, but it's not uncommon for a 20-minute heist to become 30-40 minutes if things go south or you're just stuck with brain-dead bots, see: Alesso, Golden Grin.

I'd say if you play your Switch mostly docked, have long commutes on public transport or carpooling, and also love Payday then it might be worth it to pick it up, but otherwise Joy will end up on PC eventually where she can take full advantage of your XXV-100 One Down builds out of the gate.

Considering their track record of the console versions I would say no.

So like Dark Souls, Uncharted, Sly Cooper, and countless other games?
