The game itself? Well while Payday 2 is definatly the superior game for the reasons we know. The heist...feels more manly. More serious. Like a good action flick. I enjoy this.
And if you spam Overdrill in PDTH, you will level up way faster than any other way while in PD2 there are multiple heists that are similarly good for leveling up.
So basically its this:
PDTH - feels about the old times, non moddable masks, cosmetic weapon mods, 4 trees to level one by one which will buff certain weapons, small list of heists
PD2 - you know what it does, right?
Al lot of things in Payday 2 is kinda better than The Heist imo, and more pubs to play with.
PAYDAY 2 = Arcade-y, parody-ish in some ways, and filled to the brim with jokes and memes.
PAYDAY: The Heist = More serious, cinematic and movie-ish. Also far darker.
If i were to go in full detail, then this would have been 2 replies long.
Heist Simulation
high replayability with dynamic RNG event which change your route everytime. Making every game you play like a new one.
Better animations
Except the CS-ish AK reload
Promised contents:
17 heists (30 stages) with three difficulty levels plus 6 escapes at launch (in base game)
Infamy and Tier 7
Level cap unlock so you will have skill points for tier 7 (still able to become infamous by the point you reached level 100)
7 days heists was in the code.
Hector was going to play a big role with his cool background and not to be wasted for the sake of Hoxton.
Vlad wasn't a crazy psychopath but instead a serious man like in the web series. You should be notice that he is sane in mallcrasher job.
Other subjective stuff:
Overkill was hard.
You can't move hostages like the first game
Guards detect opened windows in stealth.
No need to answer pager if the guard surrendered.
Can't answer more than 2 pagers by yourself unless you have the Smooth Talker skill
Actually balanced gameplay and skill system, Tier Bonus gives you more possibility to create a hybird build.
Overpowered meta didn't exist.
Infinite body bags (need skill) to mass with
No snipers, no HE ammo, no dodge builds. Everyone use armor like a real person.
It is also harder, OD is easier than PDTH's Hard or Overkill.
