What is the august event?

So i decided to play payday but before i did i looked at the dlc cause i like reading random stuff and it said something called August Event. What is it?

Not sure if naming it "August Event" was done as a joke, or if the person in charge of naming it just didn't know. What they were doing.

I think it was intentional to mistake data(and SteamDB)miners.
