Unseen Strike Mechanics
I was monitoring the buff list that WolfHUD has, and it seems like this skill works like this:

-Take armor or health damage
-Don't take any armor or health damage for 4 seconds
-35% crit chance for 4 or 18 seconds depending on Basic or Aced
-Repeat

Is this right? If this is the case, I think this skill is overdue for a description update.
I've only recently heard that Overkill changed this some. I know before you couldn't take damage or you'd lose your crit chance.

Still trying to figure out if this skill is made with dodge or armor in mind. Dodge will allow you to not take damage for the 4 seconds and you get an additional 30% from SB in the same subtree. Armor would allow you to take anything you would want to have crits on.

Yeah, you must get shot to be "unseen"

"Working as intended...."

Unseen Strike is totally broken and shouldn't be used by anyone until it's fixed

We would appreciate yours and the community's support on our petition thread from the Suggestions & Feedback subforum:

The best perk decks for Unseen Strike are Anarchist, Armorer, and Hitman. Mainly because decks allow you take hits. Grinder would also work on the lower difficulties. Ideally you will want to armorgate with whatever playstyle you have (so generally Dodge works better than armor).

Thanks everyone for the replies. It's a skill I'm only using right now just for laughs. I'll try a dodge build and see if it's any different.
Hope Overkill does something to make it worth the point investment.
I never understand why people don't think it's not worth the investment. It's part of my standard OD build.

Well, I use it. Anything that can give me an edge, especially in my sniper crit build, is welcome. I am already 3rd tier in Silent Killer, so it's not like I have to spend additional points to unlock. Still just 4 points to me (Basic Unseen Strike) and I have everything else I want.

I play my builds aggressively so I get shot often enough to proc, but probably lose the buff a lot too. It is still definitely broken.

Because needing toget hit on purpose on OD is dumb idea no matter if you have dodge or armor?

On another note, the skill is a broken mess they like to ignore and pretend that works, if there isn't 50 threads about screaming how meta it is overkill will most likely ignore the issue, case in point peacemaker
It designed so that makes sure that you are in thick of the batte, instead of being away from the from it. It's a balance between risk and reward, risk dying for getting critical hits. They don't consider it broken because to them it is working as intended, just everyone else doesn't want to play according their rules. To what I say, don't use it? There are plently of damage buff skills to help with the DMR meta (or per my bitter anti-sentry self... sentries if you don't want to 'git gud' but still have the highest kill count).

You say that, but it also discourages risky play by removing crit chance if you get hit, and at one point, even if you dodged.
You get X duration of automatic headshots regardless if you are hit or not, after not being hit for a bit. It rewards good risky behaviour, opposed to lazy sloppy risky behaviour.

So that the fix, buff won't get nullified by hit?
That's how it was supposed to work if I recall correctly. So it's...

1. Start heist get 'x' duration of crits.
2. Get hit and not die.
3. Dodge or hide behind cover for 'x' duration.
4. Get 'x' duration of crits.
5. Repeats steps 2 to 4.

The challenge is to learn how to quickly get into and out of a firefight.

But does it work like that now? If yes, definitely usable with armor gating when its on.

Get hit to reset pretty reasonable, but the nullified by hit is what put me off.

When the skill description and the effect don't match after multiple "fixes" i will complain about the skill being broken, this isn't about the skill working or being part of the meta, it's simply, either correct the description so it's clear if it's working as intended, or rework until the matches the description if correct, both times it got fixed it changed description and how it works and they never matched

You don't get hit at the beggining of the heist for 4 seconds and you get the bonus, while the bonus is active you get the crit chance for the 6/18 seconds depending if you aced the skill or not, the effect ends and the cooldown doesn't restart. If you get hit during any moment, the skill resets, you lose the crit chance, and the 4 second period of not getting hit to get the bonus restart
