PAYDAY 2
PC and PS4 players play together?
So the thing i want to ask is can a PS4 player join a PC player on payday?

OVK for some reason has trouble updating the console versions. Something about update size and how Payday's infamously slow update system works. Cross-platform PD2 would actually work well if the console versions could keep up with the PC's update pace.
Xbox and PS4 charge developers to release updates to their games. Less profitable for companies because of this.
Anyway, PS4 won't do cross play, because "Think of the children!"

I am pretty sure Xbox doesn't do that anymore.

Dunno. I know that was the excuse before.
Might also have something to do with max download size for files.

That second part doesn't make sense, don't they release console updates in chunks?
updating on console has been a known pain to many devs. A game that loves having daily updates for special events would have trouble keeping the console version up to date so that cross-play would be avaliable.

I mean even games like Overwatch that do keep consoles and PCs up to date at the same time normally don't have many patches coming through very quickly.
No. The console version is a lot of versions behind. And even if they had the same versions, crossplay would be a bad idea. Console players would be a liability with their aim.

Except the game makes up for that and people have done One Down with controllers. That's like saying once VR comes out that anyone without a VR set will be a liability.

30 GB chunks though? That's a whole lot of content to be pushing through some tiny pipes.

What I meant was the last time I checked (a while ago I admit) they release updates with multiple packs of content. I remember a recent (as in 4-5 months ago) for the console edition where they added rust, Sydney, and some other heists, so that must have been a pretty big update.

I'll look for the video.

EDIT: here it is.

Correction they wont do crossplay with Xbox and Nintendo. They do crossplay with PC.

That gloveless tasteless "real life" Wolf shooting a rifle made me throw up, thanks

If you mean through auto-aim, then maybe. But not even auto-aim can fix console aim.

Even if we assume that a controller user can match a KB+M user in any other game, that's still ignoring the fact that controller support on the console versions is very poorly implemented. The deadzones are huge, you can barely customize anything, and there's a weird acceleration thing going on.

I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm just saying that PC players will have a massive leg up.

I think OP that this might be possible after the Game's Lifecicle is over
