Don't play single player
The tip
The revenant skill tree will be usefull, also get bullseye from the enforcer tree to gain armor from headshots.

Carry stacker and better bots should also help

thats great thanks i dont have many points invested in revenant so ill start investing in them from now on. luckily i use the enforcer class i didnt know about the bullseye ability so ill take some of my stealth skill tree to add to that. downloading those mods now anything that helps with ai is all i really wanted since im happy with the vanilla game just the ai is a little on the weak side.

Thanks for the advice

Yeah as someone suggested Better Bots helps a ton. Don't forget to turn on the combat improvements feature. Also, consider putting points into the technician tree, anything that helps you speed up mission objectives like drills and shaped charges. The bots also have a "skill" that regens your health every 5 seconds, picking that up helps too.

i have a lot of points in technician especially for the drills since they are not very reliable but i didnt know about the health skill thank you.

my main problem is while protecting things like civillians and the drill i just get shot down within seconds even with powerful body armour and its mostly because the ai kinda just stand there and because im the only one that can fix the drill im the main target.

Dump 90% of your points in enforcer and enjoy the show.

Revenant has plenty of nice perks for solo or independent play. The stickouts to me are Swan Song (allows you to retreat to somewhere safe, making it easier for bots to revive you), Feign Death (45% chance to not need to waste your team AI Inspire charge), and Messiah (Once per Doc Bag, kill a cop to get back up.

In addition, get he AI Boosts if you haven't already. Stick outs to me are the Inspire one (once every 2 minutes, longer with other players, a bot can Inspire you), the Dodge chance boost, and interact speed boosts. Concealment boost can be great too for dodge builds.

Yeah Better Bots will help with that problem, the bots are improved to the point that they are killing machines with the mod. You'll still have to be the one doing all the objectives though. If you don't know about another "skill" that bots have, they have one which speeds up the interaction speed of almost everything.

Its fine in singleplayer, it takes for-freaking-ever to carry stuff solo without it.

The default settings for it aren't half bad. Plus, bots don't carry bags. It's annoying to take 4 times more time to move bags because you're not playing with other 3 players. And in the end, it's his lobby.

Most important thing is to tell bots to stay still (default Z), correct placement is important. Try to split them between doorways/corridors but keep them relatively close to eachother. Also give them LMGs.

For skills consider Stockholm Syndrome aced to get 1 out of jail free card.

Yeah still better than public games.
Joker and Sentrys i would guess. My "Army of Darkness" Build brings 2 Minions and 6 Sentrys (4 loud and 2 silent) with it. I use it on Santas Workshop to cover the elfs as much as possible while giving the cops more targets beside the elfs. Having 2 people with this really makes the heist a huge battlefield with 2 armys going against each other (because the Heisters are now 20 fighters and not 4)

They can. Just toss them onto the back of the bot. It's good to just toss it onto the back of a bot and leave them to their own accord while you focus on the rest, because any carried loot is counted as secured at heist end, even those on a bot's back.
