Golden Grin Stealth is stupid
It's crazy enough that you have to go through so many objectives just to get into the security room. That's fine, that makes it challenging. But once you finally get into the sec room and FINALLY get into the vault, the guards still patrol in the back employee area. Wtf is this? Ok, maybe they can patrol in the employee area, but they'll patrol through the cage doors too. I've killed 3 guards that were patrolling that area, and more guards still go back there. It's ridiculous and not fair. If they notice the unconscious guards in the sec room, you're screwed because you can't even bag the bodies in there. And there's hardly any chance of taking out an alerted guard while cleaning out the vault since the vault is so damn far away from the sec room doors.

You know what this kind of reminds me of? Car Shop, but worse (before the update). Total RNG.

Kill the 4 guards that patrol back there first?

More than 4 guards patrol back there. That's why I said more guards, not just 4 guards, patrol back there.

Never seen more than 4... killing them all is the key ... one is on a very long route and can take a while to show up.

Yea I killed one back there that was stationary, then killed two back there thinking that was the last of them. I only noticed 3 guards in the employee area at once so I thought only 3 patrolled there. When another guard spotted the sec room while I was cleaning out the vault, I noticed another guard besides the alerted one triggered my sensor mine in the employee area.
Even One Down I believe there is a max of 4 patrolling guards in the Employees Only area. You don't need to kill them all though since at two only patrol half the area.

I agree, never saw more than 4 guards there. Even the "long-route-one" sometimes failed to appear and spot the opened doors and stuff.
The heist is hard to stealth, I agree. And somewhat unpolished, these rare but annoying spikes of instant detection...
The main problem is not the heist itself, its rewards. For this amount of work you will get quite mediocre amount of money and exp.

You actually get more XP doing it loud on DW than you get stealth for OD, loot has no effect on XP in that heist.

It's not that hard of a heist to stealth once you know how to do it. At most it just becomes tedious moving all the bags solo.

Thank godness there is a lift....oh wait the value of the loot is ♥♥♥♥ and they don't give XP. Fffffffff......

There are only four guards that ever patrol the back. If you have to knock out anymore than those four, you deserve to fail.

What's XP? What's $?

I have no need of such boring things.

I like the heist but I hate the way it's designed lol. Often the most effective route is to merely dash jump through the side of the casino totally not getting seen at all, because the other more sneaky routes often present way more risk.

Just wish it had waaay more RNG. Like you can always guarantee there's one civilian in the archives, one guard in the locker room, no one inside the managers office, no one in the delivery room, the same room for the fireworks etc etc. Just about the only RNG the heist has is the drinks and the pit boss briefcase which everyone bypasses with Annie anyway. Tchah.

There's 5 guards in the security room and something like 10 guards dotted around the map, I think. Can't remember. You have two on one side of the casino, two on the other side, they stay outside. Then you get two that patrol the casino floor, walking around upstairs and downstairs around the edges, sometimes they end up static in corners though. Sometimes they patrol through the hotel room area and around near the reception area, though.

Honestly they have a huge patrol route and only a handful of guards to do it, it's kind of stupid really, should be more guards lol.

Then you have two guys who always patrol around the back area, and near the metal detectors, they're easy kills. There's also another two who like to patrol upstairs in the casino floor as well, but also check the back area as part of their route too. These are the four you kill, which completely cleans the back area entirely. The only way another guard would end up in the back area would be destroying a camera on Overkill or lower. The other two guards with the long patrol route can take a long time to show up because of the long patrol route.

Cams and guards will trigger on the open security room "breaking an entering" so they must be eliminated to ensure maximum safety. Like others have said, you only need to kill those guards, the rest are just brain dead and present no challenge.

The real challenge is the 49 cameras dotted around, you just gotta learn their blind spots though. One such blind spot I use/abuse is in the little metal detector hallway, if you shoot the a guard between the metal detector and the steps up into the back area, the camera can't see him. Easy elimination without needing ECMs.

Bleh.

Fun heist. Ignore the cash though. If you want cash, play Rats or Overdrill or Shadow Raid or something.
