Is the unit name "Tazer" a real word?

Is the word "tazer" a real word? When I'm searching for the word I get redirected to "taser". So I think the only correct word is "taser" and the word "tazer" is only a fictional name of the unit in the game, right?
I'm a little confused because the unit is called "Tazer" and the game is using "Tasers" as plural.

"Taser" is copyrighted I believe, so they chose "Tazer".

Ok. That means no strange rules. The combination "Tazer"/"Tazers" is possible and the combination "Taser"/"Tasers" is possible too. But no mixing like in the game.
