Actually, OP was right the first time, the original Egon Olsen is from a danish movie series. There has also been a norwegian (direct) version with the same character (Egon Olsen) with the same name for the movies (Olsenbanden) (The Olsen Gang) . Sweden also have its own version of this, but this time it's called the Jönssonligan (The Jönson Gang) . So, everyone is correct. But Denmark was first, just to be clear.
