How to uninstall mods?
The game still wont run with the new update, guessing mods are the problem. Yet the game wont let me uninstall them because they are "open in another folder"

Make sure PD2 isn't running, check task manager and force kill the exe if it's in the processes. Or just restart your computer first.

If that doesn't work there's a program called "LockHunter" that lets you see what process is currently using a file, you can grab that here: https://lockhunter.com/

Remove the .dll lua hook.

Once that's gone the game should work as normal.

Do you happen to know where that is located?

I can't locate that in my mods folder anywhere. I can't uninstall any mods, because I dont have access, even though I am the administrator on my computer. Uninstalling the game itself did nothing.

It's in the root Payday 2 folder.

Payday 2 folder, is it in a further folder? Like assets or _CommonRedist?

I dont see that folder anywhere in the PAYDAY 2 folder. Is it in a further folder?

It's not a folder, it's a file.

If you remove IPHLPAPI.dll in your PAYDAY 2 folder, your mods should be uninstalled. If you're still crashing, post a crash.txt in the Bug Reporting subforum. Chances are it's caused by an old custom weapon.

He meant the PAYDAY 2 folder. IPHLPAPI.dll is located in the PAYDAY 2 folder.

Go to task manager, and turn off igfxem.exe.
