What is a red "CHEATER" tag?

Hi guys. Yesterday I saw a guy with a red CHEATER tag over him. What is it, how does it work?

If the condition ends the tag will be gone. If player has cheated a skin he doesnt own for instance, the tag is removed if player removes the cheated skin.

If someone is using a character, weapon, attachment, mask, pattern, material, or weapon skin they do not currently have access to (via DLC unlocker, hacking in safes, etc.), or spawn more deployables/loot than possible during a heist, they will recieve a "CHEATER" tag and be kicked from any lobbies that have the auto-kick cheaters option enabled. Some mods on LastBullet also offer additional anti-cheat flags like moving too fast, spawning props, weapon stats not matching the weapon (ex: a Comact-5 Overhaul mod that gives it damage, accuracy, etc. beyond what's otherwise possible), or being too high a level too quickly (XXV-100 player with 8 hours of game time). The vanilla anti-cheat is rudimentary but it covers most of the bases.

The tag is not permanent, and goes away if the player fixes their cheats or at the end of a mission if it was extra bags.

It won't detect unlimitrd ammo or health, mainly DLC unlockers, too many deploayables, too many bags, also could be a false positive.

That's kinda stupid. Cheaters need punishment for their actions. Tag should be permanent.

1. his status is not permanent
2. the chances that you got a hacker in front of you are around 20%
3. the rest of the 80% are people using DLC unlockers
4. 99% of the cheaters in this game will never get a red cheater tag on their head if they want to cause the cheat detection of the game is local and can be disabled very easy if you are the host yourself.
sry forgot 5. about 1% of the tags are just false positives remove the 1% from any number you want.

well a fair number of times it will give a false positive would like a permanent cheater tag because the game thought you threw two loot bags instead of one?

Yeah, it's so stupid. Infamy is becouse people want to begin their story with PD2 again. Also Infamy is for bigger reputation. Something like ranks in CS:GO.

With payday youve got to remember its very easy to mod, many many mods could be classed as a "cheat" its all down to opinion. I can write my own LUA code and scrips for payday, for example if i wanted to make the bernelli pistol hold 500 rounds and do 5000 damage i could just make a quick LUA hook for it and thats it.

You would not know im doing this unless you have another mod that checks weapon stats. But the question is why would i do this? I wouldnt because that ruins the fun of the game. And i like the challange of using normal weapons to find best builds.

The CHEATER tags you see are people who are poor, or dont want to pay for DLC so they use a DLC or character unlocker. I hate these the most because its basically stealing, if you enjoy the game, buy the damn DLC and support the devs!
