Although, it'd be swell to have a safe house that's fully customizable. Or at least, to some extent. But aside from that, this is simply my thoughts, of course.
We did at least get van skins and with that we mite see glove and suit swapping with that being enough customization I wont be looking at much.
But if anyone thought there would be more to the Safehouse than this: You're hopelessly naive. Both in usefulness (which there is none) and amount you can customise the safehouse, this is basically the limit.
If they won't do it. Just say won't. Don't give people false hope.
They say they won't do it: People complain.
They say they do it: The same people complain.
They just do it without saying anything: THE SAME people complain.
Now they did it and all that's left is trolls like you that complain about "this not being what I expected". Here is a tip: STOP EXPECTING THINGS! Then you can't be disappointed, most of the time. (In my case, I didn't expect anything from the new safehouse and it still managed to underdeliver)
It would be nice to be able to downgrade or even reset the safehouse upgrades though.
I think it would be great if they let you put a jpg or png in a file that would be applied to the van client side
Maybe the next new heister could have a Glove Room where you can customize your glove colors? <not sure if they could do anything like that, just throwing out ideas>
Is there no way the devs can make that part of the game to make it easy for the average joe?
I'm just trying to think of ways they could really make it "customizable" or is customize in a video game only mean you get to choose between a few premade choices?
Example here: http://modwork.shop/9
You can edit its .texture if you want with gimp or photoshop but anyway this is getting off topic with it.
I don't have that file in my install, sorry.
So it wouldn't be too difficult then to make a GUI when you go to an area in the garage to work on it there in game?
IDK ... Im just trying to think of ways to make the safehouse feel more customizable. I know it is more of a dream. Sims games offer some neat options like selecting a pattern, then being able to adjust each part of the pattern color with a color wheel.... but Overkill is not EA
Mod_Override is EXACTLY what you're asking for - a basic, simple way to replace textures (and sounds, models and animations), purely client side.
