Wolfhud
Howdy folks,

I used to use Hoxhud back in the day, but know that it is now incompatible with Payday, so, I want to get Wolfhud, but, I know if the mod is not updated with the game, the game will crash, so during spring break is it okay to use? Or will it just break every day with every new update?

I still recommend WolfHud. If you really want it. And I can tell you want a hud mod. So you can't get any better than WolfHud in that regard. I might also add that if something breaks in the mod. You can disable the culprit module until it is fixed. Usually, users comes with a temporary fix even before the mod creator update it.... I used WolfHud almost the entire time I played this.

Well, I'd like to know how many pagers I have, how many times I'm going to level up, how much loot is worth, and how long interactions will take, etc.

Jeez, these people...

It's always 4 pagers and the pager operator tells you that he will sound the alarm next time you answer one. Also, counting is easy.

The last three stuff is unnecesary to know.

Yeah, pagers are easy to keep count of...in solo or with one friend. With 2 or 3 friends who are chatting and just having fun sometimes they forget how many pagers are left, and it's rare that we'll listen to the operator, because we'd usually want to get out of their with or without the body ASAP, leaving no time for listening to the obscure pager operator (He only lets you know when you've used your last one anyway)

Also, it may be irrelevant info, but still nice to know. I don't want to cheat or anything, I just want a bit more info, what's so wrong about that?

You recieve all your information you need if you pay enough attention to the game. The game gives you everything you need to know. Just learn where you have to recieve that information.

Yeah, the information you "need". I already said I just want more information, I'm not saying the game is broken and unplayable without it, I'm saying I'd just prefer to have more, I don't know why you care so much about what HUD elements I do and don't want.

Because any more information you're not supposed to see or have, is cheating.

Oh, so knowing how many seconds a lockpick takes is cheating? So if I don't have the mod and I count the seconds and remember that info, is that cheating?

It's not info you're not supposed to have, it's just info that they don't provide because it's not neccessary, and it could cause cluttering of the HUD making it look ugly for some people.

Cheating is being able to pick up multiple bags at once, or having infinite pagers, or having infinite turrets with explosive ammo (all of which I've seen) Looking at a pile of money and being able to see how much it's worth isn't cheating, it doesn't help me in anyway at all, it's just nice. To. Know.

If you wanna use it, its fine, afterall it doesn't give you free DLCs or unlocks achievements or anything.

Just be sure to download this version here: https://github.com/Kamikaze94/WolfHUD and follow the installation guides.

I use wolfHUD, seems to crash every time I come out of Swan Song. I disabled wolfHUD and no issues, I'll probably just play without a hud mod until it updates.
There is an updated verion of wolfhud that fixes this, i don't think i was an ''official'' update though
Malidictus 9 ABR 2017 a las 5:57 a. m.
WolfHUD works fine, and the crashing issues have been fixed. Unfortunately, Kamikaze can't be arsed to push them via auto-update or to the PaydayMods download link, so people keep pulling a version that's a year old by now. Grab the version that's on the GitHub repo and that works just fine.

Feel free to ignore purists who try to talk you out of using HUD mods while you're at it. They're not cheats, so feel free to use whatever HUD mod works for you.

Knowing how many bags are left in the map is cheating as example. And how long you need to lockpick something is already included in the game.

I didn't even know showing how many bags left was an option in WolfHud, but even if it is, I won't be using it, I'll only use the ones I've listed. And sure, a circle slowly filling up is "showing me how long a lockpick will take" but i'd rather an actual timer.
