Good PC low fps
Couple week ago I installed a new GPU (GTX 970) to replace my old gtx 750. I realized that my fps doesnt improve and my new gpu has been getting the same fps as my old one which is 50-90 fps. My friend with similar spec that I have has been getting more than 100 fps in high settings and Im only getting 50-90 in PD2 average.

I did find out that my fps stays 50-90 in low and high settings so I guess thats a good thing?

My specs:

GPU: nvidia msi GTX 970 (750 old one)

Processor: Intel i7

RAM: 16gb DDR4

Monitor: Samsung S22D300 60hz

Any help would be appreciated thanks

I use nvidia video drivers 373.06 and GeForceExperience 2.11.4 with the update file renamed to keep nvidias grubby hands off it. I use an i7 and have a GTX780 video card and average about 130 to 135 fps on most maps...I may drop to a 100 on the newer ones. I run at 1080 with max effects, no shutting off anything and vsync off.

I think I have the same version of nvidia and geforce as you do but i dont know what you mean by changing the update file name and how it could help

lucky, you know, alot of players cant get higher than 30 fps, you should be proud! i have gtx1050ti OC and it gets major fps drop when i aim in sights, the moment when character flips the weapon i have like 15 fps and then it goes back to 60+ again.
EZPZLEMONSQUEEZ, this game is bad optimized and if i remember well it only uses 1 core of ur cpu, but if u dont trust me, download MSI Afterburner and set it to show per-core %usage and gpu %usage, ull see 1-2 cores being used where 1 of them will be probably maxed out and ur gpu wont be running at 100%, sadly theres nothing u can do to make it use more of ur cpu.

degrade pc to cpu that has been released on year when pd2 was released, when the game is made it supports that year, around 1 year later cpus and older ones as i assume.

it doesnt matter when it was released, this game is broken and it uses a broken engine, theres no graphics driver that will change that, i had the same thing with my old i5 2500, now i have an i7 6800K and i didnt even bother trying out this game because i know for a fact that its not going to run like a dream.

The newest GFE requires you to log into nvidia with a user account to access shadowplay and other options on your video card. This is GFE 3.0 and higher. That file I renamed is in the hidden files of the nivia directory and it keeps that company to force me to upgrade. I also use older drivers with my video cards. There are FAQs about this. I see a lot of people with new cards having large fps drops on this game I blame the drivers and GFE.

Well I never seem to have my GFE updated by itself and bothered me but ill give it a try
Okay so I see a problem here (another one), so I did something what Sylvannas Windrunner said, and my fps increase to over 200 :) which is good, but my nvidia drivers suddenly crashes after I did the change, I think its a problem with the new drivers but I cant really confirm. Any help or explanation?
