What are continental coins?

Continental coins are used to upgrade safe house and upgrade AI, they are also used in crime sprees.

Aesthetics of the room is upgradeable as well as abilities. Eg. Rooms upgraded can store more cash, intel, weapons, etc. TBH it is a fairly new feature

You can also buy specific mods with them

Continental Coins are the gold coins from the Continental Hotel in the John Wick series of movies, as those are part of Payday lore.

You can use them for the following:

Upgrading your Safehouse, with each tier 3 room doing different things

Purchase weapon mods you might not have otherwise

Activating the Crime Spree game mode.
