PAYDAY 2
Whatever Happened to Bodhi?
Dude wanted to bring the Payday gang to new heights, which seemed to be teaching them, how to sky dive in preperation of Birth of Sky. He's done nothing as far as I know to help the crew.

(Aside from giving the best free perk deck of course.)

I don't think the crew needed to learn how to skydive, they presumably did it twice prior to BoS (Big Oil D2 and White Xmas both canonically featured the gang parachuting to their location, it's just that BoS introduced it actually being playable).

Anyway, the only heister I can name who's actually followed up on their ambitions aside from "Make money" is Hoxton's ambition of going after the traitor (Not counting Jiro because the search for kento hasn't actually produced much of anything yet). Socko isn't becoming the new Dallas or anything. To be fair it's not like the other heisters have major goals but still, character development isn't something Payday 2 has really done much of.

If you ask me, in order to solve problems like this, heisters should have roles written in other than in the heist they're introduced in. In Hoxton Revenge, Bonnie provided vital intel on the traitor, in GGC Socko designed the drill, in Biker Rust provided extremely vital intel and D1 was entirely about appeasing him, but if in a heist afterwards heisters had roles in the heist like that it'd be neat to have the characters acknowledged again. I think the only times it's happened was that Hoxton Revenge's corkboard hints that Clover may have been responsible for the convenient placement of keycards in D2 of Hoxout, and John Wick's kidnapping of those civvies in the H&T bank.

To give examples of what I mean, in Big Bank Bain could have one of his Beast intro lines be "Wolf managed to, uh, "acquire" this beauty. Let's just hope he didn't gut the thing for parts in the process", or if in GGC's casing mode he had a chance to say "Bonnie managed to 'case' the joint pretty thoroughly a couple nights ago. Apparently, the blackjack's rigged.". A lot of heisters have abilities that you'd think could be mentioned as critical to certain heists- Wolf and Socko make drills, Jacket's a people person, Dragan's an infiltration specialist, Wick and Sangres are both hitmen, and Clover's a stealth/pickpocketing expert.

Your suggestion has been exactly what I've been thinking of, and I do remember now they didn't need Bodhi for training. References the other crew members exist outside of promotional material would be very nice.

"Jacket's a people person"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That was hilarious.
No idea, a lot of the characters in Payday that aren't the main 5 (Counting both Houston and Hoxton) usually don't get very much acknoledgement as far as heists are concerned, Sydney and especially Sangres (I don't think the heisters even say his name when calling him) are prime examples, they kind of just came in out of nowhere and haven't been properly developed as important additions to the gang. It's implied Sydney is really good with explosives, have her be the demolitions specialist, and Sangres is a hitman like Wick, so have him dig up some dirt that Wick wouldn't be aware of and give the gang a new target to take out.
