Save file corrupted

Whenever I exit any menu, for example the inventory, it keeps telling me my save file is corrupted. I've removed my save files, stopped syncing with steam cloud, and even after all that, it still gives me the error. I'm at this point out of things to do. I also reinstalled the game, and steam.

Hm. Do you happen to have any kind of mods installed?

I used to use hoxhud, but as this is a new pc, I no longer have anything installed.

Have you disabled Steam Coude syncronization on your old PC? If not, do you still have access to it and can chaneg it?

I haven't thought of that, I can do that right away, I've still got access to it. Will try.

Its no longer syncing from there either, there should be no trace of my saves. Steam cloud says its empty. It still complains about corrupted files on startup and whenever leaving a menu.

Hmm. Then please try to remove the actual (local) save file and it´s backup out of the folder of your old PC. And ensure the Steam Coulde Syncronization is still disabled on it.

Then switch back to your actual PC, disable Steam Cloude Syncronization, start the game and check if you still get the same message.
If you do, enable the Syncrnization again and restart the game.

Then something is wrong with the Cloude backup.

The easyest way to avoid the error would be to keep Steam Coude disabled.
If you, understandably, don´t want that, try to make a backup of your save files, delete the original ones, let the game use the Steam Cloude backup when trying to start the game, disable the cloude again, put your original save files (the backup) back in, enable Steam Cloude again and, if the game asks you if you want to use the Steam backup, say "no".

The issue is that no matter whether it uses steam cloud or not, I still get the error saying "Save corrupted. Unable to save game" or something along those lines every single time the game needs to save something. Like for example when leaving the inventory or settings menu.

I've deleted the files and resync'd them. I've deleted them and stopped using the steam cloud entirely. It gets an error without the cloud being enabled. Even after I removed the saves. So it shouldn't be with the cloud.

Nope. It's about 2 weeks old.

I did. Twice. As of right now, my save files are completely new. Generated last time I started the game, with cloud turned off.
