An alternate means of opening titan safes?

I notice theres typically a keypad on them, and drilling them is awful when you have no tech perks, would it be possible to get like an ECM on it or even having to hunt down the code for the safe to avoid spending five minutes drilling it?

Correction: Titan safes, the beige ones. Other safes of darker color can be picked or blown open.

I agree that having alternative means of opening them, such as objectives, would be great.

Yeah, I've had a few times where I was just solo'ing nightclub for funsies, where the safe was in the office above the dance floor and that literally just screwed my heist 100%. Since I don't have silent drilling.

Would be neat if you could figure out the code with Lockpicking Expert ACED, But have the time to Unlock be doubled/trippled to that of a black safe to not make having such a skill in DW not useless if there's a Titan.

To be honest, with Nightclub most of the time as long as you have a basic ECM and Control Freak, boom stealth is done since thugs have no pagers.

But, though alternate ways to open titan's would be nice, the options are limited. They are designed to be the way they are unfortunately, which is why they only spawn on certain maps. Its unfortunate but the mps where they do appear are also ones that are lockdown stealth capable.

Maps where "control" is possible really suffer from a lot of waiting for a drill to finish. Every H&T, Diamond Heist (if you're going for all loot), Jewelry Store, Nightclub to an extent... GO Bank spiced it up with an alternative way of unlocking the vault and all the random encounters - would really like to see more of that.

45 Seconds. As opposed to 330 or so. Lockpicking is much faster. The holding of the button is beaten down by hoxhud aswell.

Besides, HoxHud is a third-party mod, and the game should be playable as it is. The press-to-interact isn't a vanilla feature.

Besides, HoxHud is a third-party mod, and the game should be playable as it is. The press-to-interact isn't a vanilla feature.

And dont forget, there are many people who chose not to use any form of mods, HoxHUD being the most...notorious of them.

That would be absolutely hellish to anyone using the vanilla game. Can you imagine having to hold the F key for that long? And what if your finger slipped, or you needed to respond to a threat to that stealth, so you had to start all over again?

Titan safes were implemented to stop people from rushing certain heists. However, that doesn't mean there can't be a balance. I'd like to see the ability to bring the manager over to them for the code like you do in Hoxton Revenge. If you had to walk the manager over, and then wait 30 seconds for it to open, it would still slow down rushing, while giving you a second option. Ideally, sometimes they wouldn't comply and you'd still have to drill just for extra RNG.

Personally I'd just make a 3rd type of safe, one with a code and/or ECM lock or time lock. Because once people learn the code locations, it'll just be another thing to do during the ECM rush.
