Why is there no Burst mode ?
In most of other "realistic" games (edit: games with realistic weapons + modding options) I played there was ALWAYS burst fire. And for example AK always has burst mode IRL too. But somehow in this game it doesn't. WHY? It would make many kills much easier , especially considering low accuracy of most guns and low ammo pool of AK for example..

Is it too hard to implement or is it not implemented just to make the game more complicated for us cause we need more bullets then?

Bullets are serious issue especially in long missions like Hoxton, Big Oil, etc. And burst mode would at least eliminate one of the problems that we have during gameplay.

I really hope this will be changed in next few months...

Edit, since lof of $§%&!" keep picking the word "realistic", I wanted to explain that I meant the realism of gun's mods, and not the game skills and perk decks. Even idiot knows that you can't buy the skills that exist in Payday 2.

Guns are realistic, the game is not realistic. That's why it's called a *game* and not a robbery simulator. Ok?

If I must use automatic fire then why not just use burst and save some ammo?

When you use full automatic mode - some bullets will fly away from target due to accuracy loss (especially if you aim at head) and the video above is an example (Payday 2 works the same way).

That's the reason I want burst mode, cause I often deal with situations where I am surrounded by 3-5 enemies and must kill them before they start damaging my health.

COmpare how bullets in burst mode land perfectly on target and compare how bullets land during full automatic mode. And you will understand that burst mode is perfect option. If it will be implemented the same way (without big accuracy loss).
That entire video is meaningless, the only target to stand that still is a sniper, who has 40 health and dies in one shot at the body, burst fire would be meaningless against that.

as for everything else? still meaningless, green guys drop in 1 headshot, tan guys deal extremely low damage, tazers take a large amount of punishment so full auto is more efficient and safer, and shields have about the same health as greens for headshots.

Also if you are trying to save ammo while also trying to not take damage against five guys, you have completly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up priorities.

I still can't figure out how OP gets surrounded so easily. Or how they claim that they want burst for range, but then they complain about how single shot isnt useful for close combat

Just have fun with the game and the costomizing and not worry about everysingle stat in the game so It can comply in Deathwish or Overkill.
Burst Fire would be added into the game because you can have more diverse guns, and atleast have fun.

Creating burst mode would take much less time than you think.

If some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company like Ubisoft Singapoor could create at least few dozens of weapons with burst fire, but can't create more than 10 maps, I am sure that Payday 2 programmers won't have trouble creating burst fire in under 1 hour working time.

No one asks: How useful are few dozens of ugly masks that Payday 2 programmers created?

I'd rather have a spiderman or ironman mask, than those creepy zombies or devils...

No one asks: How usefull are most pistols that NO ONE USES, with such low damage that they can't even kill a guard from 1 shot ?

Consider that they needed more than just programming - they needed additionally visualisation and sound. Whereas burst fire doesn't need to be painted in any special way. Just programmed and maybe a sound. That's all.

Maybe create a poll and ask how many people would use it and how many people are ready to pay for it.

I am ok with it if they create a good weapon (with stats like CAR 4 or AK Rifle or AMR-16) with burst fire and I have to pay 5€ for it. But then I know that I paid for the function and all of you would't cry about that it needs additional time for programming which can be used for fixing bugs.

I am sure there are enough people who would pay for AR with burst fire and it would be enough to pay for the time that is necessary for a programmer to create a burst fire AR. But then let only those use it who paid for it. Not those who were crying that it's useless!

Burst fire could help with low stability and low damage situations in this game.

I think, we need a fan mod that implements this feature. And then we can talk about whether it's good or not for sure.
was looking around and for every gun that hits 40-50 dmg you CANT 2 shot an elite. you NEED 3 head shots. to everyone how said it will be a waist of bullets.... on overkill YES. DW NO. bump for 3 shot burst mods
