Fold or fold out stock of weapons
I propose to make the player during the game to fold or fold out stock of weapons. Delete fold out stock from weapons modifications. Why pay money for something that you can do yourself. Developers make a animation of folding and folding out weapons lodge. Just offer the DLC with the same type of weapon modifications to remove the box. All a good day) (translate.google.ru/#ru/en)

I wouldn't mind, even though 100% sure this won't happen.

Then it would turn into a gadget - which then would require modification again.

No this is a standard action, such as for example aim

And i also think that there's no way to make the game change the weapon stats "on the run" while playing...so this feature would be kinda pointless

Which still would require a key to do. And unless you plan on turning this into freaking Flight Simulator or Elite: Dangerous, you're going to have to deal with a very limited amount of keys (to keep it simple and because controllers only have that many buttons). So, it would end with folding the stock out being a gadget then as that is the current key to do things on the gun.

Not to mention that it would require addional animations (ALL exclusive for each gun) and the amount of guns affected is incredible low: SpecOps and Cobra. Every other gun has solid stocks of various kinds (and the Compact-5, while having a foldable Stock, does not use it to extend or fold it as attachment but instead replace the existing one. Same for CAR-4 with the foldable stock)

So, it is not going to happen for every reason there can be.

What about Sharpshooter Basic when you switch to single fire?

Maybe there's no way as of now, duh.

I'm arguing only because you're trying to, btw. Not having allusions that it would be ever implemented. It's just fun to see you guys trying to come up with arguments.

Doesn't affect those weapons, as far as I know. Only weapons that are hardlocked to singlefire.

The accuracy boost from Sharpshooter also applies to weapons that have a variable firing mode. Just switch to single shot and you get the accuracy bonus.

The accuracy boost of Sharpshooter basic is shown only when the default firing mode of the weapon is semi-automatic.

Guess they fixed that, then. Originally, it wasn't affecting them.
But it doesn't change the fact that we have only a total of three weapons that have a folded stock that requires an attachment to unfold them (SpecOps and Cobra to unfold, M1014 to fold)
And in all cases, it's not just accuracy affected but also concealment, meaning that you would PERMANENTLY get one of the two concealment for balancing, most likely the worse one.
Finally, all three weapons are DLC-exclusive weapons, so adding a special key to just unfold a stock when people may not have said weapons... not a brilliant idea. (Grenades can be used by anyone, hence they work.)

We have folding stocks for lots of weapons, even if they aren't folded by mods or explicitly called such. Just look at the models. Out of assault rifles only AMCAR, AMR-16, Gewehr 3, and bullpups such as UAR, QW and LR don't have folding stocks somewhere in their mods. Same with SMGs. Only Typewriter, Kobus and Para don't have something that could be called "folding stock".
visual.noise Feb 4, 2015 @ 11:17am
we don't need animations for folding and unfolding stocks. we just need the concealment levels of a folding stock to be reflected in the stats, and overkill to NOT make folded versions of the same stock.

like the Predator, SpecOps SMG, and Swedish K.

the entire point of having a folding stock is to make the weapon smaller when not in use. under what circumstances would you get into an extended shootout and deliberately not unfold the stock on your weapon?

If you take Sharpshooter Basic then the +25% accuracy bonus to single shot weapons can be enabled and disabled by switching from Full Auto to Semi-Auto and back, so I would assume it's possible.
