So if you want a build that can carry you (mostly) through dsod then start with the hacker perk deck.
Make sure you run it with hostage taker for as much health regeneration as possible, sneaky bastard and the suit for as much dodge as possible and a weapon that can kill fast for as much cooldown reduction as possible. The rest of the skills depend on your choices. If you need more help feel free to pop in to our discord (links on my steam profile)

They didn't suit me because I died every second
fire rate may be an issue, but slapping krinkov/swedish k as secondary and then adding low blow/unseen strike to quickly destroy dozers can help
(another tip, if you have ammo efficiency ace, try using it on krinkov too, while switching to full-auto only when situation gets awful. also crits allow snipers to remove dozers, so if dozer face plate is broken, then it would be better to shoot him down with sniper from range instead of mag dumping with 104 SMG)
So you tried, hacker, biker, copycat, variants of those, along with AR's, SMG's, and LMG's.
So for starters, I would identify what makes you feel like you're "dying every second" in order to narrow your own identification of what problems you might have.
This could be the weapon selection, the perk deck selection, the skill selection, etc... It could be stopping power, mobility, utility, specific scenarios etc... You can do this by noting what exactly is causing you not to do good. Failure, is an excellent teacher.
This might sound confusing, but the reason why I say this is because if you can be a bit more specific, then you can have a solution that is more tailored towards you and your needs that you want addressed instead of just going in blind trusting whatever builds online.
Secondly, these builds revolve around some similarities, when it comes to perk decks and weapons. SMGs, ARs, LMGs, with Hacker, Copycat, Biker, builds of that nature.
If these specific builds don't vibe with you(that is what it looks like to me anyways), there are loads of other options to explore that you just might like better.
Describing and identifying why a perk deck doesn't work for you for example, can lead you into figuring out what other perk deck to use. The same can apply to weapons, skills, and so on.
Then comes putting the puzzle pieces together of a painting that is considered a masterpiece, or a magnum opus, what conflicts with what that creates a problem, and figuring out whether it's an issue that requires a change, or some other approach that requires much more nuance and precision, learning to compensate or figure out weird out there solutions.
So if you for example don't like Hacker, having a specific reason(s) could make you identify and gravitate towards other options, like if you like the health regen part and not so much just the dodge part or having to use that specific throwable, then you might get a kick out of ex-president. Like the stealth stuff and want to utilize that a bit more during your play like a hybrid approach? Burglar. Are you just, dodge for life and don't care or don't get a lot out of the throwable? Rogue, etc...
That is just an example.
Apply the same to weapon types.
Apply the same to skills. What skills are needed versus not needed, what works or not works, what aids my build versus goes against it, etc...
It does not uses copycat's to it's full potential, not to mention how it is really just an experiment of what i can do with CC's gambler card
Weapons - 500 sniper (feel free to swap for rattlesnake if you want, but personally i find it struggling against dozers a lot) and krinkov (mod both for max stats)

Keep in mind that this is an experiment (also bullseye ace since shock and awe would do basically nothing on a sniper), so i cannot gurantee any good results with it, as majority of your survivability comes from power of sniper and 2 shot armor
(also, if you're not using desertfox, which i prefer due to it taking less space on screen alongside fast reloads, then grab combat medic basic instead of +8 accuracy, as this one reduces damage you take from heavy zeals while manually reviving people from 225-115 to just 70+ damage)
